On topic: She deserved it for Chameli (I don't know who else was nominated though) but looking at her current line up of blink and you miss it roles, I doubt it happening.

I agree I think she deserves for Chameli. And even JWM.

But don't think she was nominated...desu would know more.

She may be good actor but NA goes with full package. Only her acting wouldn't count but the movie as a whole something meaningful i guess.

Tabu was AWESOME in Maachis ...

kareena was good in JWM but not worthy for NA ...all this NA rigged thingy started bcz of Saif uncle who won for hum tum and anil and raveena who won for pukar and daman ...rest mostly Deserving ppl win ... specially frm main stream movies like Ajay ( two awards for Bhagat singh and Zakham ) and as per me he also deserved for Omkara , Sunny for Ghayal and Damini and Tabu for Chandani bar and Maachis, all well well deserving ...and these Hum Tums , Pukars performances were Nothing in front of these movie's performances

The two films that I feel Kareena stayed true to her character was Chameli and JWM but since National awards consider actors from all over India I would like to know the nomination of that year before putting a conclusion on whether she deserved a Nation awards or not.

Also like Lensa mentioned if Saif can win an NA for Hum Tum and Arjun for Rock On!!! then Kareena surely deserved one...I still can't believe Saif and Arjun won a NA award for such a mediocre performance

I don't think Ajay deserves it for Omkara. Saif deserves it for Omkara..guess we can see his Hum TUm win as an Omkara win. But what can I say, the deserving ones don't always win. Saif in Omkara was brilliant!

IF a performance like Saif in Omkara didn't get a NA, than I say it's not important for every actor to win a NA. One could give argument and say will Saif is a better actor than Amir because Saif won a NA. But he won it for HUm tum. 😕 So my point is winning a NA doesn't make you better than the non winners.

Exactly. If Saif and Arjun can get one for pathetic performances, then Kareena's Chameli was a genius performance. Why is she ignored at the NA time and again? For Dev, Chameli, Omkara?

PC does a Fashion and gets it, Koko does a Omkara and gets but KK does not. I don't think the NA are any more or less rigged than the other awards, but I also think there's a reason why KK is ignored.

this year NA were totally out of line. I agree Dabang was different than those stupid NRIs drama and some thing Indian in it but not worthy of NA at all.

Those who have won unfair in past had someone special in jury. Kareena might need some one there or a really good movie:))
