Oh don't worry dexter...her fans are not fans of cynics either! And I don't think anyone on here is overzealous kareena fans! . :P

LovePC..this topic is not a bashing topic, I could have opened it. But I never thought about it. We are discussing it, not bashing her. So there is no question of being a fan or not!

The Answer is simple and I would like to believe this topic has started because of my post in another.

Kareena is not as great of an actress as she is made out to be.

She is the "perfect Indian Heroine" in the sense she loves to over-act, create melodrama which is what Indian films are all about.

She was good in Jab we Met in the first but only because that character was supposed to be loud and melo-dramatic but she was very average in the second half when she had to be a little restrained. Shahid underplayed his part superbly.

The Indian audience love over-acting like SRK in Darr(the worst performance of all time perhaps) or Suniel in Dhadkan while it was Sunny and Akshay who played their parts perfectly, especially Akshay in Dhadkan but thankfully the critics are good enough to distinguish a good performance from a bad one which is why all the national award winning performances have been powerful ones from Ajay(LOBS) to AB(Black) to Sunny(Damini) or Tabu(Maachis), Konkana(Mr and Mrs Iyer) or Seema Biswas(Bandit Queen).

You want to watch an actress watch Tabu in Maachis. Just plain great acting. No loud melodrama to show people you're sad which Kareena excels in.

Over-acting and melodrama doesn't win awards. Good acting does.

My first post was a good argument, but u failed to give an argument and started being personal like u always do. So who do I argue with...there is no one here but me, you and shee lol. Than I argue how about in MPKD...she was not good in that...and the character was suppose to be loud and melo-dramatic. So was Poo in K3G. But giving credit where it's due, Kareena was good in JWM. There is a reason why the industry and the fans went crazy after seeing her in the film. She was flawless.
