He is confirmed to star in 2 films.One is with James franco called cherry and the other one is the screen adaptation of the popular UK Series Skins

It is so freaking stupid to compare dev patel and salman khan. i am dumbfounded that this thread has gone on for so long.

neither patel or khan are better or worse than each other, but you cant deny salmans ability to give hit after hit and remain popular as well.

And as for dev, i loved him in UK's skins, he was awesome, and he was great in slumdog, but "avatar the last airbender" was hands down the worst film that came out last year. So.. IS DEV PATEL godsend? jesus christ no there are a thousand better actors.

is salman khan godsend? no.
this comparison is just generally stupid.

Salman Khan being compared to Dev Patel is the same as Frieda being compared to Aishwarya. Salman and Aishwarya against Dev and Frieda. One a star-struck, estranged couple, the other a hip, sighted-more-in-airports-than-any-other couple. Nine out of ten Indians living in India would have no clue about who Dev and Frieda are. Call it the head-in-the-sand mentality or preference for our asli desi stars. That's the way the cookie crumbles.
