I agree with Maddy, there is no need for every thread to turn into a battleground. If you think Saif is underrated, overrated discuss in a civalized manner rather than instigate other members and go off topic

Bollywoodcrazed, go back to about page 1 or 2. Instigating starts there. I tried to ignore initially, but its not as easy as it seems when a member is constantly posting the most absurd things.

Saif is not underrated. He might be underhyped in comparison to the other 3 Khans..but from what angle is he underrated? He has a National Award which none of the other 3 Khans have (whether he deserved it isn't the point).

Aamir has one. And I highly doubt that SRK didn't get one yet.

Anyways, I didn't come to talk about them 😆 I feel Saif was being criticized a lot here and just came to say, watch Omkara. You would be a Saif fan for life!

Aamir has a best actor NA award to his credit? For which film? lol I don't remember 😆

And no SRK doesn't have a NA award yet 😳

Well I don't think he is overrated or underrated. He is given his due n is where he should be.. I have been a HUGE saifu fan until a few years ago. And personally the years I used to adore him were 2000-2005 period, and that period in my opinion was where he did his best work as in the form of BO success as well as quality performances.

Kya Kehena,Dil Chahta Hai, Hum Tum, Kal Ho Na Ho, Salaam Namaste, Parineeta,Ta Ra Rum Pum,Ek Hasina thi are some of his best films and out of them some are my all time fav movies..and his performance in Parineeta is simply mindblowing n so far is my fav from his filmography

But what i feel to be contributing to him not being counted on par with the other 3 Khans is,
1) He debuted in 1992 and until about 2000 there was hardly any film of his which was worth watching (lol its beside the fact that i personally liked some of his crappy movies like Hamesha)
Anyway my point is 8 years is a long time and he was considered almost written off from B'wood when he made a comeback with the set of movies i mentioned above.

2) Non of the other Khans have had such consistent disastrous run in their careers. So people still remember those days. More that that B'wood still remembers that. So he can and will never be talked on par with the other 3 Khans.

3) And now after about 2006 he has had a pretty big share of flops from his total movies he did from then. Neither SRK, Aamir nor Salman has had as much bad films as he had. Even if they had a few flop movies namely Salman, then he also has some of the biggest hits to erase the flops

4) If saif has done about 50 films till date more than half has been complete disasters and it is another figure which makes him far far apart from the other 3 ruling Khans

Saif has been my fav Khan but that doesn't mean he is the best. He has not exactly managed to create a niche for himself from which no other actor can take away from him. For some period he did have that complete NRI chocolate hero down pat. but he doesn't do that anymore nor can he do it anymore..Ta Ra Rum Pum was the last time i felt his cutish(lol is that even a word!) charm. He somehow lots it after that😭

So this topic is about whether he is an "Underrated Superstar" therefore it does not concern his acting chops compared to others cz if that was concerned i think Ajay devgan should be ahead of all the Khan. But he isn't. So this is about acting talent + Screen presence + Personal Charisma all combined together. To be a superstar in bollywood BO success is mandatory therefore belittling some other Khan's BO success in mindless or whatever movies will not get Saif to their equal status

Saif has been in the media more for his personal life that for any acting talent he has and this is one of the reasons i have even started disliking him now. I wouldn't have believed myself to ever to dislike him cz i had the hugest crush on him for a long time..but anyway the unthinkable had happened specially with movies like Kurban which disgusted me🤢.. I still love his old movies but not him anymore. I do not respect him anymore either..
and i also have a lot of friend who share my opinion who loved cute adorable Saif but dislike him now..

so he is a star for sure. but will never equal the other 3 Khans..
