Let's take a ride back in time: The YEAR 1999

I think this will be a cool thing to start on this forum, something to flashback upon! The Year 1999 was a good year for Bollywood. So many hits came during this year: Hum Saath Saath Hain, Biwi No. 1, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Taal, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, Sarfarosh, Vaastav, etc. This was the time where comedies excelled and the late 90's had great cinema. This was the time where actresses like Karisma, Madhuri, Juhi, Manisha, etc. were still around. Aishu came on the scene and this was the year of her greatest impact. Salman Khan ruled this year, whereas Aamir and SRK were not at the top. Please share your thoughts on 1999 and favorite movie/actor/actresses that you liked in this era.

i don't remember anything from that year except my first day of first grade 😆 was too small to watch movies

Was that the year Kaho Na Pyar Hai came or was that 2000. I had this huge crush on Hrithik that time. In 1999, well those movies you mentioned all are great. Great songs and great impact.

DDLJ and KKHH..basically all srk films...Maduri films were good too. Rani films..some karishma films minus the ones she done with govinda and salman..other than Biwi #1...I liked that one!
