Taran Adarsh is a trade analyst and not a critic though he pretends to be one. His opinion is based on what could work at Box-Office.

Masand acts as a connoisseur of world cinema. I don't think he is one. And after he started churning out malicious gossip, I have zilch respect for the guy.

meaningful itself is subjective, what make sense to me could be totally senseless to many, I know many who actually curse the people making films like Hazaron khwaishe aisi, because it's as vague for them as houseful or Ghazini was to me. what amazes me even more is on what basis a crude film gets hit or flop? what makes houseful a "superhit" and Chandi Chowk a big flop ?
What once a Hit formula for Akshay is now hitting him bad, where as Salman just discovered a secret recipe of success - Be a Macho Man.
Aamir Mamu knows the exact mantra of successful Indian Cinema ( leave alone movies like Dhobi Ghat or Peepli live which anyways were meant for Mesiahs of meaningful cinema 😊), His pseudo meaningful Cinema gets applauded by class + mass and as he has Audience from all extremes, he doesn't mind making Ghazini once or twice to delude the dandy audience. 😆
