Raavan:
I had a lot of big expectations for Raavan, especially considering it had my favourite director (Mani), favourite composer (Rahman), and favourite cinematographer (Santosh Sivan) on board. .

In fact I felt it drew a lot of inspiration from the real Ramayana's characterization if you read between the lines.
I never got around to watching the tamil Raavanan but have heard some good things about Vikram's portrayal of Beera/Veera.

Loved ur analysis... Each and every word that I would have said, if I had to put this movie in my list for Day 22 😃

Tamil version was really good too, Vikram n Prithiviraj both were really good, and looked their part. Vikram with the rough n tough 'RAVAN' look, and Prithiviraj with his almost perfect n handsome face, innocent eyes... The typical 'RAM' figure...

Ironically, it was the climax that I loved the most... 😳 I would hate to see Ram walking away with Sita, Sita deserved more and much better 😆

I loved the end how he fell from the cliff, and the song "Jaa Re Udd Ja" was really really good and such a surprise as it wasnt on the original soundtrack. I thought Aish's 'screech' at the end sort of messed it up -_-

Lord Of The Rings.

I know people who absolutely LOVE it...and then there is me...i just have a very hard time staying awake!!

Lol...The first time I saw LOTR, my friends said we were having a marathon of all the three parts. Finally when I got up from my place in the evening I asked innocently if we were done with all three parts... But I was disappointed, when they said we had just watched one part by then 😕 😆

@Masakaliii... LOTR is the only movie adaptation that I prefer over the original books 😃

The movie adaptation is very very good, the books have its own feel but Peter Jackson did such a perfect job adapting it, you can tell he himself is a huge fan. I wish the same care and attention to detail, story and length went into all the Potter films (though some of them have been pretty good)
