Chameli: I don't know how many times I have seen it but I like it every time. Kareena played a character that is out of her comfort zone and she performed it quite well. With that, the cherry on the topping was rahul bose. I adore this guy and he is such a good actor.

Farah Khan: I don't enjoy her masala movies and her last two films were torture. But MHN was a quite different experience. I did enjoy some of the emotional moments between the brothers.

K3G is a stress buster for me and my dad. We lost the count on how many times we have seen it. I don't really like the first half but I love after Kareena comes on it. It's hilarious and love the interaction between kareena-shah...

day 20 - a film that has one of the best soundtrack
Perhaps this one is too obvious from my userID, Delhi 6. I simply cannot explain how i felt the first time i heard Masakali, or how Rehna Tu can seem both silent and full all at once. How Genda Phool understands and elevates an old sound and Dil Mera Dafatan is the stuff of dreams. Truly a brilliant soundtrack by Rahman.

Runner Ups would be The Virgin Suicides, several other films that Rahman has given music to (especially Mudhalvan, Iruvar, and Dil Se), Howls Moving Castle, Darjeeling Limited and Dev.D

Zubeida by Shyam Benegal

I am a fan of Benegal right from his first film, Ankur...and have also seen his most recently directed Well Done Abba... Who can forget his Manthan on the milk revolution in Gujrat...or Shashi Kapoor's Junoon( one of the best adaptation of a story on hindi screen)... his TV series Bharat ek Khoj is among his best work!! And he is the one who introduced Shabana, Smita and Naseeruddin Shah to the Hindi film audiences...

I hope to see more of his work in the future!

Coming to Zubeida...it was Karisma's finest performance... Manoj Bajpai looked every bit like a Royal... and Rekha was great too... lovely songs

Day 12 - A Film From a Director You Dislike

Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna

I liked Karan Johar's first two movies, KKHH and K3G (but K3G was a decent watch though) KHNH was ok to an extent as well, but I absolutely disliked KANK. He turned a serious issue into a joke. It was a disgusting movie to say the least.

Leonardo DiCaprio: Who in my opinion is underrated. He is not taken seriously because of his teen idol status that he got after starring in Romeo and Juliet and Titanic. Even though he has shown his acting talent in movies like Aviator, Blood Diamond, What's eating Gilbert Grape etc he doesn't get a lot of credit in my opinion.

Day 07 : A film that reminds me of a certain event...

'Alaipayuthe' : It reminds me of my maasi's shaadi in late 80s or early 90s and the drama post-wedding 😆 Typical filmy types, the scene in the movie when Shalini says she's already married, is exactly what happened at home 😛 And then the drama followed for a couple of years later, but all's well that ends well 😃

p.s. I hate the Hindi version. Was never fond of Vivek or Rani, and the music din't help either 😕 Saathiya 👎🏼
