I was just watching ole ole.
And while he wasnt the best dancer back then, he was...decent.
Has his dancing gotten worse? Or is it just my imagination?

Back then he was highly energetic and incorporated that in his overt mannerisms & dance steps all his dance steps in the mid 90's had that energised feel to it, some were downright hilarious to view but on the whole his energy levels have dropped IMO, which is understandable, 'age'element factoring in

I think it has two reasons.
The moves back in the 90s were not as difficult or technical. If you could manage latkas and jhatkas, you were fine for the most part. I mean choreagraphy had to center around superstars liek Sunny Deol for instance, lol
Nowadays, the younger generation knows how to dance, so choreographers have changed and so has the art. The moves are a bit more difficult.
And second, in the 90s, Saif was really skinny. Watching a lanky young guy bouncing aroudn in the name of dance is kidna endearing. He's grown up now. ANd gotten more muscular and buff. Now it just looks ridiculous!

I wondered about the same too when he mentioned during the making of LAK that he finds dancing excruciating. He clearly has two left feet (I like that in a man). But, I believe, he was known as a dancing star in the 90s after his Jab bhi koi ladki and Ole Ole. And of course his famous pelvic thrusts in Paas wo aane lage.

Perhaps when he became serious as an actor, he forgot dancing. You see, he can't multitask.
