Hrithik Roshan

Almost all top Bollywood heroes seem to have become teetotalers in a bid to get back or maintain the physique. Actors Hrithik Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan and Saif Ali Khan have given up alcohol for the time being for various reasons.

"I am not drinking alcohol because I am trying to work out and get my body back in shape. I have been training for quite sometime and I lost 22kg and I have got back my teenage 32 inch waist. In fact, I had to get a new wardrobe for my older body," gushes Sanjay as he admits that it's because of his "alcohol-free diet" that he is getting in touch with his older self these days.

"Shereveer Vakil (his physical trainer) got me back on track in no time. The miraculous alcohol-free diet plan seems to have worked wonders for me," Sanjay adds.

Saif also admits that he is in the process of reducing his alcohol intake to a great extent. "A measured amount of alcohol everyday is not bad for your health but I am trying to reduce my alcohol intake drastically. I will be sporting a very lean body in Agent Vinod — not a muscular body. But even then I am trying to maintain a very healthy and scientific diet plan," says Saif.

The biggest surprise in the package is Salman who is known for his fondness for his Bavarian single malt and occasionally rum. He is not drinking these days because he has to get back his six-pack abs.

"Salman has decided to stay off alcohol till he completes the shooting of Atul Agnihotri's (his brother-in-law) filmas the role requires him to flaunt a six-pack torso. He knows that this will take 10 months of exercise and a strict no-alcohol diet plan. He has said that he will be giving up alcohol for the time being," says a source close to Salman.

And if a source is to be believed then even superstar Shah Rukh Khan has given up alcohol, but for religious reasons.
