Erma Bombeck's (I love that woman) quote comes to mind. "Don't confuse fame with success. Madonna is one; Helen Keller is the other."

In Bollywood we give too much credit to superstardom but does it really matter in the long run? Rajesh Khanna was called the first real Superstar. Where's he today? Stardom is nothing if an actor can't keep it.

I somehow find this article quite offensive on many levels...

1) why does everyone have to have the crazy drive and ambition? why can't you be a laidback actor? saif does good work now. I know that if I watch Saif these days I am guaranteed a good performance...whether the movie is good or not. So what else does an actor want?

2) and I really dislike the comment about his choice of partners. maybe he is someone who likes women who like to take the lead. maybe what he wants is just that...

I would crumple this piece of crap and throw it in the bin! LOL!

Exactly! Stardom comes and goes...what is more important is to continue to do good work and lead a good life. Stars die...it is natural...new stars are born everyday...we do focus too much on stardom! I think after you have reached a certain level of stardom...the focus should be on work and not on being a star...
