Evereyone says Rana his hot, yum yum yum. But I'm not to impressed with his range of expressions (not that it matters in bollywood anyway 😆)

If it's a good movie, then I hope it does well.

Yeah Rana is a good looking model - but acting ka kuch pata nahi. I watched his telugu movie leader - he has great screen presence - made me google him after the movie was done 😆 but he has just one expression thru out the movie - ok 2 - one smile and a grim face that's it . Hopefully he will improve. Happy for Prateik.

It's good to see DMD and Shor in the city releasing together with positive response. Two failed star sons yearning for a hit. It's good for them and the industry. Good films work no matter what.

What is Prateik's strategy? Is he going to be the surprise element in all his films? He is the only newcomer who seems to be in no rat race. He doesn't crow about his work or lineage either. If it's his strategy then I think it's working in creating this aura around him.

he was the only reason i watched Leader.. the movie didnt have anything great in it !! i thought he was good.. okay maybe im biased..😆

I just finished watching Dobhi Ghat again - how nice is Prateik in it - great character and wonderful subtle acting - love his last scene. he truly is his mother's son.I hope he does a lot of movies. After this I dont know if I want to see him as a typical bollywood hero but who knows he might surprise me again. No wonder that Arya Babbar is so mad at this one - mirchi lag gaya re😆

Big Expectations For Dum Maro Dum

There seems to be pretty big expectations from the trade for Dum Maro Dum as many in the trade expect a big opening while others are more sceptical. The release is also huge with over 1000 theatres and some multiplexes have more shows than Thank You which means distributors are fairly confident.

The trade is split on the film with some expecting a 7 crore day one while others expecting a 4 crore day one. Its also likely that Mumbai will fare better than the North. The film is likely to suffer in Punjab as the release there is not strong due to the Punjabi film Dharti which has cornered the market there by taking all the best single screens and a huge advance at multiplexes in Punjab.

At Wave Ludhiana which is a strong advance multiplex for first show on first day. Dharti has sold 260/316 tickets for first show and Dum Maro Dum 60/316 for first show as of close of business Wednesday.

The advance of Dum Maro Dum is lukewarm elsewhere as well but its not important as advance today is just left for the super hyped films like Dabangg and Tees Maar Khan. If Dum Maro Dum can get around the 20 crore nett weekend or higher then it would be a good result for the film while if it comes out lower than 15 crore then its likely the film will not be going anywhere theatrically.

There may not be competition in form of a big film in the next few weeks but there are a huge number of small releases which will affect the screen space of Dum Maro Dum from week two onwards.

the deal with the dude is that he has awesome voice modulations but one and a half expressions😆
