Aish is considered "A" grade because she has always done big-banner movies, come with great costars, strong demand, popularity, and ability to keep herself in the public eye. Celina Jaitley, Rimi Sen, Rakhi Sawant, etc. never had these qualities and it is way to late for them to even possess that! "B" grade are stars who come in supporting roles, mediocre acting ability, low demand, and are not even popular! Where did Rimi Sen come from all of a sudden? She has not done a big-banner film in at least 3 years I believe! So, I guess she needed "work." Same with Celina and all these others, what was the last film they have done in years, if any?! 😳

And yes, I do consider Sunil Shetty B-grade. He is a supporting actor and never had a real big hit on his own merit. So, what if he won an award for acting in a film noone ever watched? And all the hits he had were supporting roles to Akshay. 😕

This "B" grade term has been around in Bollywood for years, it is nothing new! And the same thing is applied in Hollywood and other film industries around the world for that matter!

but i ( and many here) have an issue with labelling A/B grade actors. A Grade actor doesnt translate to watchable films or isnt synonomus with talent.

and in the case of Thank-you, you forgot to mention irrfan khan who comes in supporting role movies, nor has a typical star power and doesnt churn out movies every year like a factory.. so does that make HIM a B grade actor as well?

PS: Irfan is cast in the new spider man movie.😃 and in Life of PI. He is the pride of india. not Aishu ma.

I think some people really think Aishwarya rai got awards for her face...how lucky she is man!!! wish every actress can reach her level...she got beauty with luck two in one...she dont even need an acting skills in that case. Because whatever she needed she got it for her looks and look at some actresses still struglling for some hit or some not big banner but medium banner films...honestly aishwarya is very fortunate she did not get an award because she act good in hum dil de chuke sanam-Devdas or choker bali she got an award because the big screen was full of her beautiful face...critics uski shakal dekh ke award de diya chalo kuch toh faida huya khubsoorat hone ki:)
