The new item number in Dum Maaro Dum has Abhishek Bachchan go Dabangg.
It seems like Abhishek Bachchan who plays the male lead in Dum Maaro Dum turned insecure of Deepika Padukone who is merely doing an item number in the film and not even a female lead. Deepika's item song Dum Maaro Dum has become such a rage that it has kind of outshined the entire cast of the film. So now Abhishek Bachchan has an item number specially designed on his character in Dum Maaro Dum .
A source associated with the film says, "Even though Dum Maaro Dum had a big hit in Deepika Padukone's remixed version of title song and did not need another promotional video for the movie, Rohan and Abhishek were keen to recreate the magic of Bluffmaster ". The Right Here Right Now music video from Bluffmaster starring Abhishek Bachchan was a big hit then and the team is now trying to revive the magic in Dum Maaro Dum .
So now Rohan Sippy has come up with another promotional video ' Thayn Thayn ' with Abhishek Bachchan. "The song is basically about Abhishek's character ACP Kamat in the film. It is gritty and grungy. While Right Here Right Now was a complete hip hop, cool video, the essence of Thayn Thayn is ACP Kamat", says the source.
However what's interesting is that Abhishek's cop look with trendy sunglasses reminds one of Salman Khan from Dabangg . Also both the characters are high on attitude. Whether it is a planned move or just coincidental, one can't overlook the resemblance.
