I guess, most film actresses give priority to their careers and look into marriage only after a certain age (mostly above 30) - Because last time, the media/film directors/ppl used to right off film actresses who got married.

So I guess actresses want to progress in their professional ambitions first and remain busy with their careers, perhaps, they don't give enuf time to r/shps. There could be guys coming up to them for dating or proposals but they dun take them seriously coz they know their career will be somewhat "over" if they married!

But once they are 30 smthg and want to get married, almost all the guys (who were back-then potential bachelors) are already married.. coz in the industry, actors get married earlier than actresses (going by the trend)... And certainly every woman look for some sorta stability in their other half n by stability - i also mean $$$ financial security .. they need to marry men who're earning more than them? They can't date any ordinary middle-class guy for obvious reasons and the single eligible bachelors in the movie industry by then (at least most of them) - are either 1)already married or attached 2)too ambitious abt their career 3)not serious player-type ....

I am not saying all of them r like tht or marry for money. Something also gives me the impression that non-filmi guys are afraid to date movie actresses? Like they treat movie heroines as something to look at, admire but not bring back home. Dunno how true is that.

Having said that, I can still name a couple of actresses who are not with married men.

But I have a feeling the film industry today is much more intelligent. Lets just hope, with the kind of roles and films being writtern n made for actresses today, today's gen x actresses don't have to worry about marriage breaking their careers. If they can go forward with their positive mentalities and marry when the time is right (and of course the person), we can probably see the rate of film actresses dating married men decreasing.
