I'd also emphasize on the motivation factor when it comes to learning a language. If you really want to learn a new language and practice it over/communicate in it, then I think even a few years are quite effective.

I know alot of korean already by watching so many shows with english subs....sometimes when korean ppl around me pass by, I can easily grasp what they are talking about. ....and kamaal ki baat, I don't even live in Korea :P

I don't think Kitty Kat has any interest in learning in Hindi so that she will be able to portray substantial roles like Priyanka, Vidya etc. I don't remember if she even spoke much in most of her movies.
She is getting filthy rich as it is, then I guess language gai bhar mai....who cares.

I am so happy that you are all well and here.
Please be healthy and keep away from all nighters!

we all missed you immensely....I haven't watched a single k-show after the day we last talked. I was watching CP and all I could remember was talking with you and I just left it and never went back to watch.

Lack of interest I guess, otherwise she should be pretty fluent with all the years spent here, I picked up German relatively quick when I studied in Germany & still retain a fairly substantial part of the language. Learning the language will help her establish a certain connect with the masses & help eradicate a verge.
It's upto her, yet she seems to adopt a rather condescending attitude towards NRI's in some IIFA & other interviews I saw of her screaming around going door to door to prove her Indianness
, not required.

When I lived in France, it took me a few months to learn the language and within a year all my french friends were like wow your french is really good. I was pretty fluent in the language but then again I was also young. Even my mom learned more french in the 3 years that we were there than Katrina's learned Hindi in 8..so it's not that hard to learn a language if you put your mind to it. Like Maddy and qwww said, Katrina isn't motivated to learn Hindi..she's not losing assignments because of it, and the audience doesn't care that she can hardly speak Hindi. So why bother?

It's not the hindi that bugs me..it's the I'm such a bhartiya nari act that I find annoying.

😆 😆 Ya she gets me confusing with that aswell.....she becomes an Indian and foreginer depending on her circumstances...It will be good if she sticks to one.

I don't get your point... so what if people find it stupid she doesn't speak... hindi well... it is their opinion right... so let them be..
No it is not big deal that she still doesn't speak hindi 😆 after 8 years ..... but if you ask me.... I find it pathetic.. that after 8 years she still cannot speak hindi well.... what has she been doing in these... 8 years... she doesn't need to be really good... but at least try to show interest... ... so what she comes from another country... I'm sure if we all go to China.. we all could speak chinese ... in two or three years.... because how else can you.. life there... and work there...... But then Katrina has Salman as her protecter... so what is the use for hindi... ..so good for her..... 😃

8 years is more than enough..I speak better French myself after having done it only at a school level for 2 years (-: And as for Kat then her diction is really off putting for me, sometimes her "acting" I can stand but that crappy Hindi does me no good. If someone has the motivation then let alone 8 years, it can be done so much better in 8 DAYS as a matter of fact. But I guess she doesn't have the motivation to begin with anyway so what's the use?
