The fact is Bollywood doesn't represent India. 95% Indians are darker looking than the Bollywood Heros and Heroines. In my opinion, the heros/ heroines are a small percentage of nice looking people. It was more in the 60 and 70 ..now things are changing.

We can see more guys like Ranveer Singh than Amir Khan on the street. Kareena in my opinion looks more Middle Eastern than Indian.

If you want to see a Regular Indian go to the Market/ Bazaar at 6.00 pm in the evening. I mean the normal middle class areas. And count the " FAIR SKINNED" faces there. Specially in Mumbai.

Its strange to see 95% of India thinking they are LIGHT SKINNED. We are definitely color blind. And not to mention our / their weird attachment to LIGHTER SKIN.

underneath every chehra (thts dramatic..😆😆😆).. there is a gora/chitta face.. i think its not moreso because they are naturally dark.. its also because of the all that mitti that blows in your face in India..😕😕..

i remember my pretty white shirt turned grey frm the airport to my home in Punjab.. you can imagine what happened to my face..😆

Indian aunties and their comments are hilarious. I lose weight and think of myself as a model and they go "haye! sookh kar kaanta ho gayi". 😆😆

Why is that we talk about skin color in PC's threads when she never seems to mention it? 😆

you are not alone 😆

she was quoted twice in the article the title is misleading

"Looks do play an important role for any actor in mainstream cinema, and that is not restricted to our film industry alone.

At the end of the day, I believe, more than looks, it's how you connect with the audience that matters," says Priyanka

People are going by the title of this topic! It says ...."PC says fair skin rules B-town!"

No one has time to read interviews. I usually just read people's comments. Their shorter :P And plus the title says so! 😛

Lol yeah beboholic.. normally, I don't read articles.. but I happened to read this one, and no where did she say anything about skin color. So, I was like what is this commotion about? And why are people saying, shes whining again?! Lol.

But I do personally think that PC, internally, might be a little touchy about skin color, since she was declined a film because of her skin color. Which is really sad:( I think India has kind-of moved out of that phase, but still somewhere I know skin color is an issue. I've heard various people comment on a bride or a groom's skin color in weddings and prejudice is still known to exist. I just hope one day it all ends and everyone can peacefully live in their skin.
