VB and PC bit much more than they could chew.Apart from her acting I think VB's usual strong point the screenplay was severely lacking cohesiveness.

If makers like Vishal B can falter...gosh,what hope do the others have?
Is there any maker who's consistently good and not going downhill?

Maybe he needs this jolt. He needs to stop taking things for granted and go back to his roots.

What I meant by this comment is that Indian audiences still have to grow up bigtime! I know 7 Khoon Maaf was not a perfect film, but it was an experiment and I appreciated the effort. I hate to say it, but people overseas (such as myself) love these type of films whereas the audiences in India love masala and pointless films like Dabaang. I know No One Killed Jessica was a hit and that was a different movie. But, it is very rare for women-oriented movies to do well and 7 Khoon Maaf deserves to do at least average business, not be a total flop at all!

I am sorry...I take offense to that. I do not care where anybody is from at this site but we are here at this forum in particular because of the Indian movie industry and our love for it...well maybe not every body loves it but they are here nonetheless. I for one am very tired of this so-called elitist view that the movie and TV show watching audience in India lacks any sort of intelligence. For e.g. I know many people who have gone to the IITs and IIMs which are some of the best schools in Desh and still laugh their guts out watching mindless comedy. Everybody has their tastes and whether you agree or not, please do not propogate such prejudicial statements.

PC was good in SKM but the illogical and troubled character made it hard for me to understand Susana, therefore not liking PC's perfrmance too much. But kudos to Priyanka for trying this challenging role, she was good. 😊
I think other actress who might have been able to do this role would be Kareena, Vidya, Tabu, Rani, Konkona and Aishwarya.

I am sorry you take offense, but I am not retracting my statement! I don't think the word "lame" is that harsh of a word. Anyway, I am glad you voiced your opinion, but I stand by my original words. 😲

hey buddy.. not only did you call them "lame".. you also said they "need to grow up" .. .. and all this because they prefer mindless comedies that actually entertain over mindless wannabe thrillers like SKM or silly preposterous films like Guazaarish..

the only ppl that need to grow up are the likes of Ash.. PC.. and Hrithik.. grow up as actors that is.. 😛
.. none of them did justice to the dept their characters required.. seemed like newbies..

I don't find SKM or Guzaarish silly films. They are meaningful films which are not made everyday and I appreciate them for their subject matter. Anyway, Ash, PC, and Hritik are not to blame. They are just actors who act and do what is required of them. The directors and bad scripts are to blame. When new scripts and directors learn their lessons, then Bollywood will be in a better place. 😃😃😃

So, I finally got a chance to watch it. The movie was such a let down, I expected slight suspense, a lot more black comedy elements and a twist... all of that was a fail cause of the script.

Priyanka Chopra was good, not great but that's not the fault of the actress alone... the blame lies somewhat in the script... The character of Sussana was hard to connect to, she was quick to make decisions, far too unforgiving for people to understand where she is coming from. Priyanka did well with what she was given, I think the character itself needed a lot more adjustments, better reasonings behind her actions.

In terms of acting, in some of the age groups she excelled while others she was strictly okay. I would rate Kaminey, Fashion, Aitraaz better in terms of acting because those characters were STRONG, better in sync with the story and had a good script backing them. She is a talent, can't overlook that...

I highly doubt any other actress could have excelled in the role either be in Vidya, Kareena, or even Tabu because the script was... all over the place.
