I am against living together before marriage too and just like Meena even I haven't been born and brought up in India. I just find it so wrong.

And if you wanna live together then just commit yourself to each other aka get married and then all is well.

Big deal. I know live-in relationships are looked down upon in this culture but it's no biggie for me. I personally would live as far apart from my partner as possible, I need my space but really, it's up to the couple.

There is nothing wrong in a live in relationship.
Every couple can define their relationship in a way they want. I'm all for it. In fact one of the reasons I got married early was so that I could live with my then BF, childhood sweet heart, my hubby now. the only way our families would agree was if we got married.

I would not have any issues if my children wanted to, over the age of 23.

I'm pro live-in/common-law relationships. Nice to get to know and adjust to each other's way of living, thoughts, habits during the "probation period" rather than taking the plunge n getting on each others nerves, later. Also, during the live-in phase you don't have too many strings attached..have the ability to be more flexible or accomodating, whatever is feasible. I think its a nice way to measure compatibility, too and make a decision...whereas, marriage is the truest "test" of compatibility..do or die 😆

When I get married, my hubby will have his place & I'll have mine. I need my personal space. Our both places will be closed enough to get in very much needed touch once in while.

At the rate the marriages are breaking in the Indian metropolis live in is not a bad idea at all....

Off late I have heard of so many cases of people who were in love getting married and then realising they are not compatible once they start living with each other...
Less than a year into marriage and they want to get out of it....
What hassles... Pahela shaadi ka kharcha.....phir honeymoon ka kharcha...phir ghar set karne ka kharcha...phir gaadi ( Car) lene ka kharcha....after all this they realise they cannot stay with each other ....then divorce ka kharcha...lawyer ka kharcha.... alimony and settlement ka kharcha..... in the middle of all this the emotional and mental stress.....
So looking at all this Live in not a bad idea at all....Saves so much trouble... Anyways end of the day its a personal choice and if they want to do it so be it....
In today's changing times this is one of it......

iT'S NOT BAD AT ALL.

But if you do it purposely and wanted to do it for fun, thats bad.

if you really love and needs to be with him/her, there is nothing wrong in sharing life at one place.

It's up to the couple.

I don't support it but I don't look down or call them cheap or anything like that to celebs or even regular people who live together. It's their life...why should I be bothered about it?
