Lil, Priscilla presley's surgery is one of the most mocked surgeries ever.. She constantly features in the worst surgery disasters... and i agree!! Have you seen her in the "The naked gun" movie series with leslie nielson... she used to be sooo pretty.. a very soft and delicate beauty.. i wish she had aged gracefully.. she looks like a disaster now!!

Now.....but back then (80's & 90's) she was very beautiful...she still looks better than Koena who's half her age...

Ok, I just read the posts in this topic and I am livid. Positively livid. And just know that the following has NOTHING to do with Koena or Saif.

If any of you, ANY of you, think that mental disorders are "exaggerated" or "modern" or "westernized", then you are idiots. The mods can edit this post for "bashing" but I have no other word for people like that. You really think a woman murdering her children is not a form of mentally unstableness? You think a healthy woman would kill her own children for no rhyme or reason? Seriously?

And I HATE this notion of depression and other disorders being "westernized". What the hell does that mean? I'm sorry but just because you're not poor or malnutrioned does not make you an elitist with "trivial problems". And if people can't seem to grasp that simple concept, then I have zero respect for people like that.

I went through depression. And I'm not saying this for sympathy. I'm saying this so people can understand the hell a person goes through when he or she is depressed. No, I didn't have cancer. No, I was not dying. But yes, I was depressed. And I had people tell me to just "snap out of it" and "stop being a baby" and all I wanted to do was just smash those people's heads against a wall. I did come out of it but there are people out there who are battling things as "trivial" as depression on a daily basis. And NO ONE has any right to tell these people that their problems don't matter or that they should worry about global warming or their emotions are just "westernized".

I don't know if you are referring to me since I can't find my post in these 25 pages...but what I meant by "westernized" was that the rich people here, especially the women, seem to have this need for plastic surgery but it doesn't affect the people of other classes as much. It's usually the same people who are famous or are on reality TV trying to cash in their fifteen minutes of fame like the Real Housewives.

I wasn't meaning to hurt you by what I posted, but if I hurt you (or any other member) in anyway, then I'm sorry. My grandfather suffers from depression and I've seen him at his darkest time. I did not mean to trivialize the whole diagnosis of depression, but just how small insecurities of these celebs can lead to big decisions about one's appearance.

I wish I could post a link to an episode of "True Life" on MTV USA because they do a great job at showing body dysmorphic disorder and how these wonderful looking people just see themselves as hideous no matter what they're peers, family, and doctors tell them. They take medications and halt their lives trying to boost their self-worth but it is very difficult.

These Bollywood celebs, as well as these "stars" here in the U.S. do not have those problems. But I apologize again if my behavior upset you.

^Actually, I read that on someone else's post (I probably missed your post in the 12619821 others). But either way, I wasn't really referring to one person in particular but people in general (because a lot of people in this post seem to think depression is a joke).

Yes I stopped posting after the one thousandth page...I just made my one comment and left for much positive things.

I was also appalled (but I didn't voice it) at the posts concerning doctors giving out unnecessary medications to patients as if that was alright(!)...I guess that since we're basically typing into a computer and not actually knowing who it is we communicate with, we tend to be less humane with each other or we become lax with our comments and they become misconstrued as something else.

I have a feeling that a lot of us members would react differently if we were discussing with each other in person. For example, I don't think any of us would be as defensive about our favorites or as accusing of our not-so-favorites😊

I SO SOO totally agree with you! Thank you for this post. I didn't read what was going on in the topic but wow, was this that was going on?

Anyhow. My post was coming across as too personal. Kinda annoying. Henced edited.

Just want 2 say deperession is not small or big dude. And def. not something to be made fun of. Only the person going through it knows how lonely it can get. How tough the situation is that sometimes you feel like just giving up and...arghs. I can't believe members who I thought were quite level headed on I-F BS spoke like that. Quite sad. Rather, disappointing.

I thought I would not post in this thread anymore but I had to ask . How do we know if a person is or isnt suffering from depression? Its not like the people who are clinically depressed carry a board around or tatttoo their forehead with a sign that screams " I am depressed". Honestly a surgery as botched up as Koena's would drive any actress into depression especially if they are criticized like she has been.
I dont get how terrorists , drunk drivers , people with disorders, people with or without disability etc have all been reduced to the same level. Its easy to be judgemental about a third person I guess I do that too.

You maybe a huge fan and follow every detail of her life, but you are NOT Kareena. What she goes through in her head and in her personal space is not a common knowledge to you. Sorry. Besides, I was just using Kareena as an example because she is a huge actress and had she been in Koena's shoes, there would PROBABLY be a furor and I assume you'd be leading that rally. I did not bring in Kareena for her rumored surgeries as much as I did for her bigger star power and the backlash it would have caused if you would switch Koena with Kareena and Saif with Shahid.

Second of all, nobody is saying Koena is mentally disturbed. Somebody pointed out she MIGHT have body image issues. The next thing I see is people making fun of behavioral disorders in general. That is when I argued. And I never expected people to sympathize with her, I just said she deserves the same defense (not sympathy) that a big time actress would get if she was in Koena's place. Kareena was just an example albeit a fitting one since her beau is doing all the mocking, but I digress.

Awesome post Xeta 😆😆😆😆😃😃😛

You can't. The only way to know is if you talk to that person or know them very well.
