bechara abhi... always the same discussion on him... this topic always comes up...

at the risk of sounding like a feminist, he is a guy... on top of that, he's a bachchan... so really, it does not matter how many flops he gives... his career will not be over... even fardeen has a career, despite he is not a star... esha deol does not, though she is somewhere on the same level as fardeen as an actress... just how bollywood is...

he will continue to get work and have a career... he might see success here and there, but he'll never be a big star...!!

Whether Abhishek's career is over only time will tell. We cannot write him off. If Saif Ali Khan can be a top hero today...anything is possible. I had no hopes for Saif Ali khan...seeing him in early nineties..he was so feminine.

But one thing is certain Abhishek will never ever be as successful as his FATHER. For that matter I have observed...Successful Parents rarely have successful kids. Be it in FILM industry or wherever..it doesn't guarantee anything.

If a not so good looking actor like Ajay Devgan can become a HERO...and Mohnish Behl so much nicer looking remained a supporting actor what can be said. I say Ajay Devgn I mean Ajay Devgn when he debuted in Phool aur Kaante.....he was not at all the "HERO" kind.

So its not only looks, or being someone's son finally its just Destiny.

Abhisek himself is to be blamed for his career. I remember in KWK , his advise to Hrithik was to take a chill or something along the line. Basically he was refering to how hritkhik takes his each and every movie real srsly. For abhi it seems like he is acting for the heck of it. He has no goals or passion to get real successful. if he did, then he wouldnt have looked like a dud in superhero film or D2 for that matter, where even uday chopra looked better than him d/t his physice. abhi never seem to work on his look or acting, watever comes to him naturally ..he will deliver, but he wouldnt go extra mile for it.

and plzzz enough with the excuse that he has so much pressure and blah blah d/t being a bachchan, he himself said that you get compare with ur parents in ur first film but then u r own your own. Look at Ranbir, he also has a successful kapoor legend to compare to plus his parents were successful in their days. But he is working hard to match up. he is doing different roles and work on his acting abilities, u can easily see it in his movies. One can see his passion..abhi, i dont see it. I think he needs to retire and work on his production house or something..

interesting discussion and i agree with you all!!

Abhi career will end when he wants to quit it. Because of his father and now his wife he will always have some or other film offers!! The reason people like him is because off screen he seems to be a very decent, frank and level headed person! He doesn't have the air abt being a bachchan!!!

In KWK3 it was told his costars enjoy working with him esp actresses cause he doesn't flirt like other actors!

However, when it comes to acting he is just average and looks wise just ok ok nothing great or exceptional!! He is not good in dancing or action sequences like other actors where he can excel himself. He usually seen copying his father's trade mark dancing styles!

I agree that Abhi is rather lazy when compared to actors who put in 100000% in to movies be it HR in krish or SRK and AK with 6 - 8 pack thing. He needs to get involved in his films and walk an extra mile if he wants to prove himself.

i think the best idea wud be for him to host KBC or any other game show cause he great in conversations, good command over the language, good manners and personality!

I completely agree with what someone said about Abhishek being a lazy actor. Kareena is from a film family. So is Ranbir and so are a lot of other stars. But you can see the ambition and passion in these actors and the drive they have to reach the top. In the 10 years Abhishek has been in Bollywood, I don't think I've ever gotten that vibe from him. I think if he had the ambition he could have stepped out of his father's shadows he never really made a visible effort to.

And whether his career is over or not, Abhishek will never make it to the top league of actors. So he can continue doing Dhooms and Dostanas but sadly, he's already lost the opportunity to make it to the big league.

For me acting and looks differs from person to person. Some might like what they see, some others wont like the same.

Abhishek's career is def not over, if he has survived over 10 yrs with so many flops and only a handful of hits, the only way to go is up i feel.

His worst is already over and dont with, when he didnt vanish and look for alternate careers then, he will def not go now when he has a few movies to his credit. Whether he got all these chances coz of his father , maybe but it doesnt matter. He cant select his father , can he...nor can he erase his fathers reputation. The only thing he can do is carve his own name in Bollywood with his performances.

His career only spans 10 yrs, a person only needs one good hit or one great performance and people will forget the rest. The one actor who comes to mind was saif ali khan, the guy was horrible but one dil chahtha hai brought him back into main steam .

Some one said ajay devgan wasnt good looking. For me he was and is good looking. I rather prefer men who look like men than men who look effeminate and act likewise too. but thats me....

so no abhishek's career is not over . He just one hit or one good performance to be back

This guy is absolute lazy. Never heard of him doing anything special for any role ever. I think he is happy the way things are because he is not ambitious and his career is not over. I can't see him doing anything else at all. He is living on legacy of parents and that's why Ash married him. She got security and respect in the industry.
