He's a decent enough actor, but it's just I think he was never able to carve his own identity in Bollywood other than being a "Bachchan". He's more or less like John but at least John pleases the eyes of many, yet he has not had many solo hits either despite of being in the business for a decade. Abhishek is also not charismatic maybe (a bit laid back he is), so I am not always anxious to see him on screen, and I for one cannot even remember his solo films...most of his films have been multi starers and so that maybe is one reason why he hasn't developed an identity of his own.

All that said, he will still be around for 5 years maybe with multi starers, and then again he ain't that bad of an actor either. Maybe he should join politics.

as many ppl hav said hez very lazy n is not doin n e experement with his look which is a big factor y hez not successful having so many movie under his belt !!!! 🤔

All i would say he ain't a bad actor par he des not chamr the audience..he does nt hav the spark in him which will attract audience !!! n hez not ill publicized either being son of Big B !!!! he has all positives par hez movies result in negatives !!! quite intrigued !!!!! 😕 😆

Tomnjerry, since you mentioned Run, let me use that as an example! If you watch the tamil version, Madhavan is absolutely splendid in it...he puts so much of effort into that role and it showed! The film was a blockbuster down South, but when the film was made, a back to back copy, in Hindi, with Abhishek in the lead, it was an abysymal flop!

Yes he was awesome in Tera Jado and Run. Loved a lot of his performances. See who cares if he doesnt have that many hits. He is a good actor that's all that should matter. Like for Me I enjoyed a lot of his film that didn't do well like Run and Tera Jado and many more which weren't hits. If he entertained me, I don't give a dam if the film was a hit or a flop. I like Abhi, and the only reason I would want him to give hits is if its necessary for him to give hits to be in bollywood. If it means one career is over because they are not giving hits, than yes he should start giving hits lol

Madhaavan is definitely a better actor than Abhi !!! 😛

tht's wht the problem with Abhishek.. whn Run was released i neva knew it was a remake of Tamil movie.. par whn Wanted n Ghajini wr released the world knew they r south remakes !!! u know he misses the X factors odr actors hav !!! may be hez a bit careless !!! :/

Maybe the film didn't get that much publicity. Considering he is Abhi, he is not such a big star. So obviously it probably wasn't hyped or promoted well.

without proper publicity it will be difficult to make a movie(with not so good script) successful quicker he undersnatds better for him !!!! 😛 I guess his most hyped movie was Drona !!! 😆

par credit to him (his father may be be) he has sustained so long n has done almost double or more movies wht hrithik has done after giving tons of flops !!! 😆

Wow.. Its been 10 years since he has been around.. Time does fly...😊

Personally Abhishek has failed to impress me as an actor. Be it his commercially successful ones like Bunty aur Babli or his critically acclaimed ones like Guru, Yuva etc...

The only movies I liked him in were the Sarkar series..

Otherwise he has never wowed or impressed me as an actor or a star.

The three Khans, Saif, Hrithik, Ajay have given me enough performances for me to appreciate them.....

Even a fairly newbie like Ranbir I feel has given some great performances compared to AB Jr....

But Yes offscreen I definitely like him as a person. He comes across as a very straight forward, sincere , mature and a level headed guy which has become a rarity in Bollywood..

I have met him in person and though it was very brief, I have never seen somebody so well mannered, so gentle, so respectful person, in show biz.... and having met a few big stars and many small time and B grade ones I could see the contrast between him and them...

And coming to Poppy's question

If he was some random Abhishek so and so instead of being Abhishek Bachchan, do you honestly think, he would have got a producer to make a film like Drona and drown so much of money on a film like that

IMO, If he was not a Bachchan, he would have been history long back.... Yes.. being his father's son has given him this many chances. No producer would have put in so much money and made a Drona... and Drona was produced by the Bachchan's family friend and partially funded by AB Sr himself. This was their answer to Hrithik's Krish which backfired...

Though AB Sr's movies are flopping he still has enough clout and contacts in the industry.. There are still movies written for Amitabh and TV shows made just for him. The others yester year ones like Dharmendra, Feroz Khan etc dont even come close to him... You never know maybe if Esha or Zayed or Fardeen were given 50 chances even they would have reached this far...

Anyways glad they did not work out. Any day I rather prefer a Abhishek over the zombies.. Zayed and Fardeen.

Regarding something better happening in future for him I am very doubtful.. Yes for some more time he will be around with the multi starrers coming up. But solo hits not really...

In conclusion so what if he is not a star material, he is great husband material... 👍🏼

I don't think his career has ended. I like him a lot actually. Anyways There are only a few stars who are successful with most of their movies. He just needs to pick better scripts and subject that are more commercially viable.
