I'm not quite sure why I suddenly thought of this, but I did 😆. Aishwarya's done quite a large variety of roles from a tomboy in Josh to a traditional Bengali in Devdas. Which is your favorite role? I've listed some of her more famous performances below.

Personally, I liked her best in Josh. I thought that was one of the few times the purpose wasn't to make her look pretty and she carried off the role of a tomboy surprisingly well. I found her performance in the film one of her most uninhibited performances.

For me, it's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam...without a doubt! People often speak about her chemistry with Salman in the film but what I liked about the film was that Ash shared wonderful chemistry with both her male co-stars. She also complemented Ajay Devgan very well. I think Ash portrayed the role of a woman torn between her lover and her husband with a great deal of sincerity.

Great topic!

She was playing a tomboy in Josh? I never thought of her as a tomboy in Josh! But she was good in the film.

My favorite has to be Taal! Her performance was so good in that film even though she was like what one or two films old! Its also one of my favorite Aish film!

I also liked her in that film with Anil! Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai and also Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke and Kucch Na Kaho! She really knows how to do romantic films! She has a lot of good romantic films!

Devdas made me a fan, but now that I look back, I think she gave her best performance in HDDCS from the films that I've seen. CB and Raincoat comes next.

I loved her roles in HDDCS and guru....she was fiesty, spunky and beautiful as nandini....and in guru, she was the sweet, demure yet strong wife, sujatha....she totally blew my mind in these two movies...

Raincoat! Raincoat! She did everything from comedy to tragedy in there. I think that is one of most beautifully portrayed role by a bollywood heroine. I loved Aishwarya in Raincoat, her expressions, her adas everything was perfect to the T. Which is why it annoys me when she does OTT acting in comedies because she can do subtle comedy, this movie was a proof. I also love the Ajay-Aishwarya jodi. Her perfect features are a good contrast to his ordinary looks. From what I have seen, they bring the best out in each other. HDDCS and Raincoat both show that.
