Its a classic debate between idealism and reality. When idealism goes to its peak we start dissing the basic things that once attracted us and taht we liked in our actors and actresses. Every viewer is at a different stage in their life, some are very young, they like the things that adolescents like.. we as teen agers were attracted to silly stuff in movies once upon a time.. we were attracted to people due to looks.. but as we grow up our perspectives change..There is nothing wrong with people liking Katrina Kaif, coz maybe they are at a different stage, and her acting appeals to them.. Acting has no rules, it is very subjective, there have been many famous actors whose acting has been discarded and mocked by many people, but there are others who have liked their acting. You cannot say it as a FACT that someone cannot act. It is something which is open for discussion.

So, I read in the Trade reports that Anjana Anjani is heading towards a flop/below average status. So, all the kings women (Deepika, Sonam, Priyanka) could not give the next superstar of Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor, a single hit? Don't get me wrong.. I love Ranbir. But for people saying Katrina can only give hits because Ranbir or Akshay factor needs to think about it.. Ranbir's only two hits came with Katrina. Akshay's reign at the box-office top ended when he started expanding his heroine base to include Kareena, Deepika, Lara and company. Neil Nitin Mukesh and John cannot even get a 10% opening at the theaters but surprisingly New York recorded a 70% bumper opening.

So, who exactly needs who to give a hit.

Like it or not.. Katrina has the Midas Touch at the box office and to constantly drone about how she is there where she is because of Salman is pretty ridiculous. If Salman was that powerful he would have made his baby brothers, Arbaaz and Sohail, into the next superstars of BW.

And this thing about diction and speech.. I mean have you heard Hema Malini or Rakhee speak? They are in this industry for a quarter of a century or more and they still speak with that heavy twang of regional accent.

SHE, Katrina, is the one that brings in all the crowds for all her movies. Whether you like it or not, it IS the truth! 😆 People are in LOVE with her, for whatever reason, so that is why they go to watch her movies and they become HUGE hits!

And Katrina DID give amazing performances! Many of them!

Namastey London - where SHE was the main lead, NOT Akshay! She portrayed the character SO well!

New York - Where she was so good and the script itself was really good. She was a huge part of it and without her, the film would have been incomplete!

Raajneeti - She was awesome in that! Her role was towards the end, but she did a fantastic job! But you have to agree, Prakash Jha basically used her for promotion! And whats sad is that she let him! 😡

The rest of her movies are masala flicks where I agree, she didn't have much to do but the audience went to see the movie because of HER! I give Katrina full credit for all her movies & its not her fault that people adore and love her so much!

Just watch, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan will be a huge hit! It has Imran in it - but then you people will say why doesn't she work him or him or blah blah blah! She IS working with different actors! But sadly you guys don't want to accept her. Now thats not her fault and I'm sure shes not worrying! Because there are so many people in the world who adore that girl and there are many more people who like her than people who hate her!

It IS a fact that Katrina can't act. If someone is a bad singer, it's a fact because they go off-key. Likewise, if someone is a bad actor, it's a fact because there are definite things that define good acting. I'm not just saying this on a whim. I've seen plenty of Katrina's movies and she has zero expressions, zero voice modulation and terrible dialogue delivery.

I just wish people would stop trying to justify her acting. If you like her, fine. But don't try to justify that by trying to convince other people that she can act.

And with that, I'm done with this discussion.
