Its very convenient for people to just make excuses on why someone is successful, anyways it does not change anything. About Pri, her boxoffice track record is bad (in recent past), she hasn't delivered a clear hit since Don the chase begins again, so she is not the biggest draw on boxoffice these days, but she is a great actress with a fan following, so of course if the movie works she has a part in it too. Atleast I don't deny it.

I've seen the movie and one thing is for sure..right from start,PC was fabulous.i've never seen a more natural actor.

I agree PC on her own hasn't had the greatest luck at BO. That's why I focussed on RKPC's chemistry. Because that IS an integral part of romcoms. If there's no chem in a romcom, the movie just doesn't work. And you don't deny it, but others do. That's what I meant. And anyway, I really don't wanna dampen my spirits by constantly going back and forth. It's the only movie after MNIk that has got me excited. So let me rejoice this, before (hopefully not) it crashes on Monday.😆

Cinema reactions

Prakhar Joshi, Head – India programming, PVR Cinemas - Anjaana Anjaani has taken a very good opening. Mysore, Nizam, Tamilnadu, Gujarat, Chandigarh opened to 100 percent response. Overall occupancy is percent plus. Multiplexes are looking like college campuses, Ranbir is a true rockstar!

Rajender Singh Jyala – AVP – Programming & Distribution, Inox Leisure Ltd - Anjaana Anjaani has opened with full houses at Inox Nariman Point (Mumbai), Pune, Elgin (Kolkata), Faridabad, CP & Raja Park in Jaipur. Shows are houseful in Hyderabad, Chennai also despite huge competition from Enthiran/Robot. Bangalore, Indore weekend should be houseful.

Bhumika Tewary – AVP Cinema Programming, Fun Cinemas – A fresh pairing brings numbers at box office. Opening very well across Fun Cinemas properties. Morning shows were close to 80-90% and the weekend looks very promising.

And Fashion was a movie that was completely on her shoulders! Yes I know Kangana got praised, but it was PC who did most of the promotion and got people interested!

Oh I completely forgot about Fashion, lol. PC didn't even have a male lead, or second female lead (a big star) with her. That movie was riding on her shoulders, and it came amidst Golmaal. Still did decent. PC def. has a fanbase who goes to theatres for her.

The same way that people say that Ranbir's movies only work with Katrina and they discredit his box office successes of BAH and WUS. That way it can be said that pri hasn't given a hit since 2005 don the chase begins again, Fashion, Kaminey, Dostana enjoy a semi-hit to average, above average status, just like Ranbir's WUS and BAH. And Ranbir is coming after Raajneeti and PC is coming after Whats your raashi and Pyaar impossible. Yes at the end of the day both are big stars with their individual fans.. and if it work then it would benefit both of them.
