Above average. Which, IMO, is great since it only had PC among the top actors. It is rare for a female actress in recent times to have done movies with no shared leads (male or female) and made the movie work even with competition with a diwali comedy.

Anyway, let's get back to the topic, which as about AA's BO.

Reading some of the comments here, it seems like RK is being given most of the credit for the success. I disagree- a movie is made up of two actors, in this case RK and PC. Both of these actors have a pretty large fanbase. Not taking credit away from RK, but many people would go to watch the movie for PC as well. I personally belive it's a combined effort and the chemistry, plus the promos were driven forces to the success.

Anjaana Anjaani grossed a very good 7.25 crore nett on day one. The film lost around 1 crore nett business due to bandhs at various cities and many single screens including the huge Rajmandir theatre in Jaipur refusing to play the film as Eros have problems with some distributors. If the film had a clean release it would have had the biggest first day for its genre beating Love Aaj Kal. Even still Mumbai, Delhi/NCR and East Punjab performed extremely well. Business was badly hit in UP, CP Berar, CI and Rajasthan. The first day breakdown is as follows.

Mumbai - 2.95 crore

Delhi/UP - 1.70 crore

East Punjab - 78 lakhs

West Bengal - 35 lakhs

CP Berar - 15 lakhs

CI - 10 lakhs

Rajasthan - 33 lakhs

Nizam/Andhra - 35 lakhs

Mysore - 30 lakhs

Others - 25 lakhs

TOTAL - 7.26 crore

I dont think anyone was trying to say that its all because of Ranbir and not Priyanka they just said Ranbir is a huge star today and he has had a good BO power! he gived 2 blockbusters APKGK & Raajneeti and its true that he has star power at BO because at the BO he is the only young actor who has 2 blockbusters in the top 10 biggest hits compared to shahid, imran and neil etc...(i love them all lol) so thats commendable.

I agree that different people go watch movies for different actors... I went to go watch it for PC :)

The team of Sajid Nadiadwala's ANJAANA ANJAANI has much reason to celebrate as the film opened brilliantly at multiplexes across the country.

Says a trade analyst, "ANJAANA ANJAANI is receiving an 80% opening at multiplexes around the country with the strongest territories being Maharashtra and Gujarat.The film received a 100% opening in the north, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, DT and Chandigarh. Gurgaon 90-100%, Noida - 90 + ANJAANA ANJAANI is set for an opening weekend of around 28-30cr net. In Mumbai itself the film is doing excellently well in PVR, Fame, Cinemax and Inox"

If that wasn't enough the film is also doing brilliantly in the overseas market - In Dubai itself the film took an opening of 4.75 beating the likes of other films like AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI (3.92) and RAAJNEETI.(4.69).

now back to this movie I havent watched it and dont know when to watch it because the reviews has mostly trashed this movie and at the end of the day what can one expect from a sajid nadiawala movie good music, good locations and realy week story.

But Ranbir is so cute in the songs, cant wait for his up coming movies specially rockstar he is one talented actor today.

Not all reviews trash it lol, but I am sure you will like it whenever you watch it and do write a review!
