Anjaana Anjaani Takes Big Start At Multiplexes

Friday 1st October 2010 10.45 IST

Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network

Anjaana Anjaani has taken a big start at multiplexes in most major cities of India. The opening at multiplexes in North India can be called bumper. The first two shows (9.15, 10.35) at DT Chandigarh have gone 100% its similar at Wave Ludhiana where the 10.00 was 100% and next at 11.00 is also housefull.

The next shows also seem strong at the above theatres with around 60% tickets gone for the rest of the shows on Friday. Delhi and Gurgaon have seen many multiplexes record 90 -100% collections for early shows this morning while Noida was 90% plus.

The collections at single screens which started there first shows at around 10am may not have as good collections as multiplexes.

it was dumb enough to even think robot will do anything to a hindi film in NORTHERN INDIA !!

BOI is making it clear, in each article, NORTHERN INDIA (hindi belt) cuz as in southern states, ENTHIRAN is going to make a keema out of AA! so whatever moolah AA ends up making, will have to thank the Hindi belt of India!😊

^^lol..imagine getting up early in the morning at 6am...and saying : right...brush teeth, take a shower have breakfast and go for a movie!!! lol...aah how i would kill for that life!!!

+ a lot of people go for early shows coz its easier to get tickets...the evening and afternoon shows would be mad full.

^Haha I would love to be able to that. Plus they never play movies in the mornings here!

And of course Robot will kill AA in the South. But with all the critics raving about it, I feel it might do good in the North too.

Hindi dubbed robot is just a bonus for ENTHIRAN!

i won't be surprised if ENTHIRAN makes just as much as 3 idiots' ALL INDIA collection from TAMIL NADU region alone!

yeh lol...robot getting good reviews is something out of the blue...critics normally rub their hands in glee when it cums to trashing rajnikanth or southie masala cinema.

I don't understand why recently critics have started to take a liking for silly masala-ish movies. Case in point Dabangg. Honestly, the reviews surprised me because the movie had nothing good in it except for Salman. Same with Robot!

i guess critics are sick of "lets-make-different-cinema-never-mind-its-boring-and-crap" kinda movies!! so they r just looking for anything remotely good...but hey....masala can be MAD entertaining....if done well that is...but its not everyones cup of tea.
