I'm in a serious reminiscing mood. I was watching Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman and seriously, what happened to movies like this? And Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, Yes Boss etc. These stories had SO much more originality and substance than the crap we're churning out today.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say movies like Baazigar, Yes Boss and Raju Ban Gaya... were the movies that made Shah Rukh Khan. He had such a freshness about him, he fit those roles to the T. Kind of reminds me of Ranbir today (I love his Wake up Sid). I miss movies like these 😭

And Juhi! She left Bollywood way to early. I've loved EVERY (yes, literally EVERY) movie of hers.

Anyone care to join me in reminiscing? Post your favorite song/scene from a oldie movie or just share your opinions 😊

Yes, I share your sentiments :)
I loved the films back in the 90s. As you mentioned, films like jo jeeta wohi sikandar, Hum hai rahi pyar ke and Baazigar. Actually, the list is endless but these are just a few names of films that were simple but had substance to them. I miss those kind of films and even the music back then.
I think Bollywood is now trying too hard to be different and in the process, they lose the soul of the film. And I have to agree that SRK during the 90s early 2000 was great. His choice of movies back then were much better in comparison to today (IMO) And Aamir and Juhi were also a part of that period because some of their films were classic and I adored their chemistry, which was so natural and effortless.
