Who are we 2 question her decision? I mean she isn't mad, she has a own brain n know what she is doing... and if the director doesnt have a problem why should we?

She have given almost 3 blockbusters in 2 years...
She is popular
She has alot of fans...

Okay i think she's a pretty fine actress, and she's improving with each n every movie ... i dont even remember when i last saw a newcomer being so successful!

if she gets it...good for her! inface thats a smart move...even if the role is not anything substantial...she'll atleast get more money! popular BW stars and talent don't go together...well just name one person who has won so many awards and is 'talented' in BW...We are comfortable with mediocre as long as they excel in good looks and great body.

in my opinion Priyanka is just a mediocre actress, she did not deserve the National Award.

And Deepika can charge as much as she wants... the film industry is not a charity and unless and untill she is not duping some one whats wrong? Who are we to decide on what Deepika's remuneration should be?

If you cant stand her I would suggest dont watch her movie and pay for the ticket, thats under your control.

Some mebers need to get over it, Deepika may not be a good actress but she is a popular one.

And may be Priyanka would command a heigher price if she preserved herself a little bit.

She acts in way too many mediocre movies , and even many more commercials. It gets tiring and the novelty factor disappears.

Which is why Ash and Kajol still command a higher price.

Yes deepika too does the same but atleast she has been in the industry for a lesser time than Priyanka. So people still want to see her.

I did not find any thing wrong in Deepika demanding a pay equal to PC. She feels she deserves it and its upto the Directors and the Producers of that movie to decide whether she deserves it or not.

It's her choice. She can ask for however much money she wants. It's up to the directors and producers to decide if she's worth it.

I hope she does this film. It'll be nice to see PC-Ranbir-Deepika in one movie.

I think acting or national award is not hte criteria of hike in price. We have so many examples of this. What matters is a HIT. Deepika has given hits so why not?

well said! hit the nail right on the head!! Price has nothing to do with acting skills anyway....kat commands a higher price than PC because she is a major crowd puller....she puts butts in the theater seats...in a way..she is responsible for the film earning all that money for the producer...so whts wrong if she or deepika or any other popular actor commands more price? they are the ones who earn tht money for the producer in the first place.

saif, anil kapoor and ajay devgan have all won a national awards and srk didnt....but honsetly tell me who gets paid more?? the dude who rakes in the moolah...srk!
tabu won the national award twice and kareena didnt win any but naturally kareena would command a higher price because she has been churning out blockbusters while tabu has none to her credit.

Deepika could get more money than katrina and i am not even talking about the highest money. I am talking about BASU movie where the main characters are going to be Ranbir and Priyanka, both challenged role. 3 actresses has already refused the role so it shows how small deepika role is going to be. For me this article shows deepika wants a competition with priyanka. Katrina gets the price because she can pull the crowd but same cannot be said about deepika. Her movie with Akshay CC2C and movie with Farhan were average to disaster. So deepika cannot pull the crown as of not yet. Why? because she is doing one the lamest role ever done by good newcomer. I don't remember the katrina flop movie, i remember her last average movie was dhan dan..with akshay kumar. However she has great chemistry mostly with every actor, from Neil, Akshay Kumar, John and now Ranbir. If you are connecting well with the actors on screen, your market will increase and therefore you be offered more money. Nor ranbir deepika chemistry work on screen nor she can pull the crowds as katrina. Forget about money if basu is offering you a good then sign the movie money will come and go. At this moment you need acting, you can get money from ads, photoshoot and from other production.

haha why bother so much about what she charges. If the director has a problem he wont take her in, as simple as that.

If you really dislike her so much dont watch the movie.
