Its not her English, its the accent in particular. She tends to emphasize on the last letter. I thought they used her real voice in OSO until i heard her in some interviews, it can kinda get irritating. But for her i would say fake it till you make it.

in oso it was dubbed voice. Even i got to know later, it was a wise choice from Farah.

an accent is NOT wrong or a sin to have, but i think she pronounces her T's too much, she should get some dictation lessons and perhaps better that part of her pronunciation, it'll only make the characters she plays seem more realistic. if she werent an actress i wouldnt suggest she change it.

yeah her accent is really unpleasant to listen to and i agree with most peolpe saying that indian actors have accents but i find deepikas the most cringeworthy

Actually I don't like her hindi either. She speaks Hindi and English similarly. I don't know if its the accent or if its her discomfort with the two language thats showing. Lot of Indian actresses have Indian accent, they sound okay to me. But Deepika's is not pleasing to the ears esp. her hindi and english in LAK and BAH. OSO she sounded fine but then again it was dubbed, no? Its like Hema Malini's, not very pleasing to the ears.

i always considered her dialogue delivery as her main flaw..i have little problems with her in the expressions department,i thought she was improving , from OSO ,to BAH and LAK,and from watever i had seen of KCK..her dialogues rarely reach her eyes,its..like..her face emotes, but her voice modulation, she needs to work on.all she needs is guidance, and good directors.accent,u cannt get rid of,but improvement in dialogue del, will make it more pleasant:)

lets think of it this way.. her accent couldve been ALOT worse (just call dell and you will know what i mean) Sometimes i find it hard to understand the accent, some words are differently said or they use the alternative word. Im a Brit so i would say 'nappy', if a person in india were to say it they may say the american word 'diaper.
But her accent is okay.. not bad not too good either.
