I have to add Kajol in Gupt, DDLJ, and KKHH.
The latter two arent drastic performances by conventional means, but there was something so heartfelt and natural in the way she potrayed those characters, that they stayed with me.
Especially Anjali in KKHH.

Someone mentioned Ashutosh Rana and it reminded me of the movie Dushman! Kajol was absolutely fantastic in the film, playing twin sister roles!
Sanjay Dutt in Vastav was great! The climax of the movie where he begs his Mother to shoot him down was just chilling to say the least!
Not really hard-hitting, but SRK in Swades was perhaps one of his most likeable roles for me! He just grew on you like anything by the time the film ended! A subtle yet heartfelt performance.
Omkara is perhaps the best ensemble film ever to be made in bollywood! Each and every actor, not only suited the role they did, but everyone was so good, that comparisons are impossible! I really loved the guy who played Rajju in it!
Konkona in Mrs. and Mr. Iyer! She played a conservative Tamil Brahmin woman with such flair and so naturally! That one scene where she realizes that her co-traveller is a muslim captures her immense talent and subtle performance to the T!
Kareena was excellent in Kurbaan, totally stole the whole climax scene!

Konkona in 15 Park Avenue. i'd request everyone who swears by Rani's performance as a schizophrenic in Black as the paradigm of acting excellence to take a look at Konkona's performance in this film.
Kajol in Dushman. Again, another film which didn't cause many ripples in the box-office but I feel it was her finest performance to date.. that of two completely diverse sisters.
Sridevi in Lamhe and Sadma. I can watch these movies for countless times and still not get bored.
Amitabh - too many to list.
And, I love old black and white comedies of Kishore Kumar. The best comic genius to have been n Bollywood, IMO.

Of course, Kajol was extremely natural as Anjali and Simran. She turned these ordinary characters to memorable ones. Totally loved her there.

And Rani in Hum Tum as well. Totally captured my imagination with the way she portrayed Rhea Prakash. I feel the same for the her in Saathiya. Or maybe even Yuva or Veer-Zaara.

I think I liked Konkona the most in Mr. and Mrs. Iyer. God bless, the performance she gave. 👏

Rani was adorable as Suhani in Saathiya! In fact, I had seen the Tamil original first and thought that no one could better Shalni (the girl who played the female version in Tamil) in the role, but Rani brought out such a heart-warming vulnerability to the character! The scene where she breaks down crying after hearing of her Father's death was done splendidly!
Rani's best peformances are her most undramatic ones! You are right about Hum Tum...she was excellent in it! Especially the later half, when she becomes widowed! A very restrained and subtle act! One of her best!

Konkona performance were superb in her earlier films but now she is getting little repetitive...I wish she doesn't get stuck in commercial cinema..I love amu, 15 park avenue, mr and mrs iyer....

Madhuri in Mitruyudand --one splendid performance

Kajol in dushman and gupt! : i love when she plays characters that have shades of grey...I also love her in K3G simply because she played the punjabi women to the T...

Vivek in saathiya--That was one ultimate lover boy role....
