Reason Why Aamir does not attend any Award func

This is the reason I read about. I do not know if its the whole truth.

"17 years ago'thats 1991, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar and Beta (Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit) were competing at the awards. It is rumored that Anil Kapoor bribed the Filmfare walas and took home the best actor and best actress awards. Aamir, who believed that Jo Jeeta was a much more superior film had to win awards, was upset when the film didn't win any award. Aamir was so upset that since then he hasn't shown up at awards."

I dont think he considers it important to be on the awards! I heard him saying on one his interviews that if public likes my works thats all what matters for me,,, nothing more!

it was the whole conflict with jo jeeta woh sikandar...and I respect his stand....
he only accepts awards that mean something to him i guess

didnt he attend the gollapudi srinivas award for best actor last year....he did.... I mayy have spelt the award neame wrong though

i just think hez a bit weird he doesnt trust his own country walas but runs 2 the oscars lyk dey always go by the book....😉

Havent you seen that she hardly attends any award function now? I think she does the same thing like Aamir. She wasnt nominated for FF, but she was nominated for some other awardshows and still she didnt attend. Of course she attends those where she wins something but other than that I think she ignores them.

But whatever, this topic is bout Aamir😊

Yep that's the reason he feels award ceremonies such as Filmfare or star screen are not fair and mostly give to those people to keep their heart rather than truly judge on the talent or skill - So he believes favoritism goes on a lot ! And I agree with him I mean look at the time Ranbir got all the best new comer awards when Saawariya didn't really reflect Ranbir's acting skills that much compared to Neil's performance in Johnny Gadar.
