Antara: Actor ya Director?
Mr Ya Miss has been successful in creating a buzz amongst the audience. The film is also Antara Mali's first film as the scriptwriter as well as a director. "I cherished the dream of directing my own film one day. And I thought that this was best to start with", says Antara. Whereas the production is concerned, Ram Gopal Varma liked the script and agreed to produce the film under his banner. Antara believes that if Varma agreed to produce the film, he definitely must have seen some potential. The lead actors include Aftab Shivdasani and Ritesh Deshmukh of whom Antara as a director was very sure. "I couldn't think of anybody else other than Ritesh. And Aftab and Ritesh share a great chemistry on screen", explains Antara. When asked how she found her new role as a director, she is quick to reply that it was not stressful at all because the script was ready with her before she even begun. "Everything was crystal clear", adds Antara. As for post Mr Ya Miss, she herself is not sure what she will pursue as she can't leave either of the two. Whatever she decides, we wish her luck!
