Hey is it also true that some apartment complexes dont sell you an apartment if you're muslim?

This is the most complicated case I know of so that is why I mentioned it. I guess I am an "inter-community" child. My mother is Maharashtrian. But since state-subjecthood is passed on from the father I am still a "state-subject" and my mother became one too after marriage. If I marry a non-state subject then I lose my Kashmiri citizenship so to speak. This law exists because the State of Jammu and Kashmir has a special designation and has its own separate constitution. The state government there has certain additional powers that other state governments do not have.

@desigal About the buildings thing - I think it depends on the building society. Some people probably discriminate but it isn't a law or anything. In fact discrimination like that is against the law. But it does happen and people are sometimes turned away because of religion or which part of the country they come from.

Edit: Religion comes in to inheritance of ancestral property for HIndus at least (through an HUF). I don't know about other communities. There are different Hindu and Muslim "personal laws" which determine things like divorce, alimony and inheritance. You can get married under a separate religious law like the Hindu Marriage Act or you can have a civil marriage and that has different laws which govern it.

Kiyu nahi Saif koh Agar Itna Pyar Hai Kareena Se Toh apne aap ko convert Karley !! Even SRKs name was changed from a muslim to a hindu to get Phere done in the hindu ritual way !! Will he except it to change himself to became Saif Kapoor !! Yeah it easy to say then done !!

I dont think either of the two is big on religion so I dont even see this as a problem

Donot say that otherwise a Fatwa will be issued against him !! Christmas saif and Kareena celebrated together you are putting the both in trouble !!
