| The success of Namastey London: That movie belonged to her. It was my idea but Vipul Shah's script worked out in favour of her. We went ahead with it as I had proposed the project. The length of my role has never mattered to me; it is all about the right script and the film clicking with the audience. She was perfect for the role of Jasmeet in Namastey London and I am glad we cast her as the movie was a huge hit and did wonders for our careers. |

| Katrina's choice of films: She is smart about the movies she chooses. I know she has said that she blindly follows me into a movie if I am doing it but even her other films have done very well. She chooses her films well and works immensely hard. She has come a long way and will only go further as she wants to try new roles and take up challenges. She is very sharp and an expert learner. She has worked with everyone from YRF to Rajkumar Santoshi to Vipul Shah to Priyadarshan now. |

| Their hit jodi: If a film works, people will talk about the chemistry between its lead pair and the script of course, if it doesn't work, no one mentions anything. We do our best and don't get stressed by expectations. It is difficult to pinpoint what makes a hit jodi. The characters have to complement each other and the actors have to share good vibes on screen. |

| Katrina's performance in De Dana Dan: Katrina was initially nervous since Priyadarshan is an established director and it takes some time to build a rapport with him. Like everyone else, Katrina must have learn't from Priyan; he works very fast and gives you no time to think. You only ponder later on. I think she looks beautiful in the movie and has played her part very well. I remember we were shooting in Singapore and there was a water-skiing sequence. I was struggling with it and she stuck on bravely. Hats off to her! |

| Akshay's next film with Katrina: I would like to do a romantic-comedy with her. We have been paired opposite each other in comedies and Namastey London, which was my idea, was our last rom-com together. I want her to write a film for me now. I want to see her in a complete Indian avatar, replete with a salwar kameez and vermilion. She can definitely pull off such a role. When we both get time, we will work out something. Meanwhile, we will wait for the right script to come our way. |
