WTF is wrong with people's choices.Why is everyone only interested in mindless comedies.

N also people are so hypocritical.If a film is called intelligent and thought provoking n has some sense in it ,they sit and analyse the film and pick out the loopholes n criticise it.

But for mindless comedies,they say "It was fun,don't use your brain ,just enjoy"

PS- To get a good opening ,music plays a very very important role.Have one song which is a chartbuster and the film gets a good opening.For eg- APKGK-all songs were huge hits,LD-None of the songs were chartbuster material,and more recently Tum Mile opened well in multiplexes mainly coz of great music.

Riya, if its supposed to be an intelligent film then it shud be different. It was NOT.!! Only good performances even in a weak story is what can be looked out for in this film.

But the weird part is that there are good reviews from critics as well as quite a lot of ppl but still the movie didnt hve a good opening and is being declared a flop?? Thats majorily dumb. Like everyones saying, give it time 😕

It's way to early to say "Kurbaan" is a flop😕😕😕

By saying that they discourage people to go to see it. That's so stupid...A movie can have an average opening and ends up being a hit!!!!

These kind of articles WILL influence ppl. They will equate FLOP to BAD movie.

Kurbaan is not a bad movie. Its not guys. You might be disappointed if you had high expectations, but its still not a bad movie.

i don't thnk anything can influence people, if a movie has to be a hit it will no matter how bad or good it is, the taste of the audiences can't be judged u don't know what thy would like or not, like others said a cheap, vulgur movie KI gets a great opening but falls badly later, so kurbaan might improve to, but kjo needs to be blamed he didn't take the movie seriously.

Kjo has sold the film to UTV at a high cost, so it was very imperative for Kurbaan to get a great start on the first day itself, but first day was average throughout, it did not pick up drastically even in the evening shows like RNBDJ did after opening to average response in the morning.

Besides Kurbaan is pathetic in single screens, a film needs to do well in both plexes and single screens if its a costly film and also since it has no time with DDD releasing next week.

RNBDj did well in both plexes and single screens even after a 50% opening.

Kurbaan has only one week to perform, with DDD releasing next week , not only will it take away the screen space but also the audiences.

If it needs to pick up, it needs to pick up drastically and fast.

One more thing going against Kurbaan is lack of chartbuster song, all songs are good but not chartbuster material like say all APKGK songs or Haule Haule was to RNBDJ.

Boxoffice : Kurbaan – Another Victim Of 2012

Kurbaan opened to poor houses all over this morning with 30%+ response, Released on huge prints (1000+), movie may be able to do decent business collection wise. Screening of movie is approx. 40% higher than Ajab prem Ki Gazab Kahani . APKGK was 70%+ on first day and overall 75% weekend (21 crore) , Comparing to APKGK if Kurbaan able to do 50% average weekend , Collections will be almost same as APKGK i.e. around 20-21 crore. Afternoon shows of kurbaan hardly saw any improvement and movie is carrying Mixed reports. Terrorism theme is beaten to death in recent times with movies like Khuda Ke liye, Newyork etc. . Carryi
