^Rani explained it. This interview is more about her whole weight thing. Even though she was criticised for her wardrobe in Heyy Babyy she still looked younger compared to Akki. With Shahid everyone made a huge issue out of how she looked too old. I think that is why the interviewer keeps bringing it up. Shahid was also the last guy she was linked with. I don't think there have been any more since.

If you look at the questions and answers there is a separation between the ones about "caustic comments" and the ones about Shahid. I think the first person is someone else.

Till like a few days ago everyone around here was saying that the PC-Shahid rumours are all for publicity and people who think they are together are delusional. Now all of a sudden "there is no smoke without fire". I think there is a middle. A lot of rumours are floated around for publicity.

Both of them denied a relationship in multiple interviews at that time. I can't put this particular interview above what has already been said multiple times.

Anyway, this Lalwani guy is not exactly known for his journalistic scruples. So I don't think his focusing on SHahid necessarily implies he knows more about what happened.

We all know how the media makes a mountain out of a molehill where any possible hint of celeb link-ups exist. It's always a case of going overboard with insinuations and even conclusions. There's hardly ever a case where the media miss out on some juicy link-up stories where popular celbs are concerned, albeit most of these stories turn out to be false. Vidya was quite popular after Hey Baby and Bhool Bhulaiya and Kismet Konnection. But, the only person I ever saw her name attached to in gossip columns was Shahid. It may not be a case of "Where there is smoke, there is fire" in this case but to bring someone like Sajid Khan as the object of her reference in this interview is absurd in my view. I remember there was some Award Show which Sajid was hosting and he made a big show of awarding her "The Worst dressed woman in Bollywood". Everyone was quite shocked and Vidya looked ready to cry. I don't think that would have happened if Vidya was seeing Sajid at any point of time.

There was plenty written about her relationship with John too. Honestly I have read a lot of these interview from that time. And none of them hint at a relationship. The rumours about the relationship were happening around the same time he was reportedly seeing Sania. By then the shooting of the film had been over for months.

Its pretty obvious that during the time of KiKo release he was with Sania. All of Shahid's interviews hint at that.

Apart from that people can assume what they want. I just don't think there was anything between them. The timelines and their previous interviews (video ones and not just print) just don't make sense with this angle.

True. I was one of them and I thought people were delusional because I did not see any bollywood insider coming forth and telling us Shahid-Priyanka were dating. On here, the Shanks fans thought they were dating just like Shani fans think Rani and Shahid are dating. Both sounded delusional to me. Now, Harman a bollywood insider has come out and confirmed Shahid-Priyanka were dating, so obviously I'll take his word over fans (who conjure up stories for the most part anyway).


Secondly, I see the Shahid connection in this interview pretty clearly and other people have pointed out the same. Now, its all a matter of persepctive, so I'll have to agree to disagree with you and Ranig and other supporters of Shahid.

However, I have one last question. What about the Shabina Khan question that was asked? Shabina Khan was close to both Shahid-Kareena before their breakup. After their breakup, KiKo happened, Vidya-Shahid were rumored to be together. At the same time, Shabina chooses to side with Kareena but not Shahid. This suggests to me that Vidya too couldn't care less about Shabina Khan so she chose to side with Shahid thus souring her relationship with Shabina Khan permanently.

Now someone please shed some light on the whole Shahid-Vidya-Shabina connection.

So, for what it is worth, I still think that therelationship Vidya was alluding to was the one with Shahid (imaginary or real, is another issue). If there was anyone else involved with Vidya, I am pretty sure we would have got a whiff of it somewhere in the media.

For what its worth, I think PP was being her usual sarcastic self when she took Sajid Khan's name. I wouldn't take it seriously. 😆

The Shabina-Shahid fall out didn't happen till late 2008. They were still very good friends for the longest time after the Shahid-Kareena break-up. Shabina only started siding with Kareena when he started dating Priyanka. In fact that was cited as the reason for the fall out. Shabina was apparently interfering in Shahid's relationship with Priyanka. So I don't think Vidya's problems with Shabina have anything to do with Shahid. Their big fight apparently happened at Sanjay Dutt's birthday in December 2008 where Shabina accompanied him and Ahmed. There are even pictures of them together at the party.

Now there is no bollywood insider talking about the Shahid-Vidya relationship on IF. But there were plenty of interviewers who asked Shahid and Priyanka questions about their relationship and people still didn't believe the link-up stories. Despite the fact that there are pictures of them at events together, coming and leaving in the same car.
