Irrfan's praise of Roshan Seth is something I couldn't agree more with. Back to the role of Nehru, I think he will do well enough. Looks matter less, and I would prefer someone perform more than anything in a period film like this.

Gwenyeth, well she is good in Proof. Her Oscar speech is something I think she regrets, but I think her father recently passed away at the time, which is why she was so emotional. But yes, Cate Blanchett all the way. Great casting choice.

hehe...emotional outbursts of actresses winning an oscar is not a rare sight. The most classic was Halley Berry (Monster's Ball) Man! she was crying-wailing n; what not---so much so that she cud've choked on her own spit.

I haven't seen Proof. Should I watch it?

And yes Roshan Seth is great - just made me think of Mississippi Masala.

The movie sounds intresting but I genuinely hope they get all the facts right about Independence, Gandhi, Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bose and everyone else.

Usually, this is just my POV, that Gandhi ji is given all the importance for independence whereas if u ask me, Subhash Chandra Bose had a much larger hand. I wudnt wanna put my views on Gandhi ji here since it wud drift away but my only point is whatever they take in consideration and put in the movie, they do it with very well research.

I wud highly recommend them the Hindu Vishwa Parishad inside ppl but then I dunno how many are aware and if they wud even give away unknown facts of then.
But still, I hope the movie churns out great unlike Jodha Akbar 🥱

Oye Tashu Hillary Swank is Boys Don't Cry. And I think Halle Berry got it for Monster's Ball (someone correct me if I am wrong about the title)

Halle's, I could get over due to the whole historical aspect of her win. But I do think Angela Bassett is not appreciated enough. Halle's win was for Monster's Ball.

Proof was fantastic, Geet. Anthony Hopkins plays this brilliant math professor that slowly loses control. Some similarity with A Beautiful Mind, but this shows the relationship between father (Anthony Hopkins) and daughter (Gwenyeth Paltrow) that is incredibly troubled by the deterioration. Jake Gyllenhaal is in it too, and I think Roshan Seth has a small role.
