Labrador for Ghai & Sangeet's film By Taran Adarsh, November 8, 2005 - 09:30 IST Animals and birds have been an integral part of several Hindi films. Sooraj R. Barjatya's films, for instance, have had a pigeon [MAINE PYAR KIYA], a dog [HUM AAPKE HAIN KOUN] and a parrot [MAIN PREM KI DIWANI HOON] take the story forward.
Now KYAA KOOL HAI HUM director Sangeet Sivan has decided to use a dog in his new film, which was initially titled MONEY MONEY MONEY. "I've already finalized a golden colored Labrador for the film. The Labrador is responsible for creating messy situations in the film, albeit unintentionally. In fact, every character in the film is, someway or the other, linked to the Labrador," Sangeet divulges.
However, producer Subhash Ghai and Sangeet have yet to finalize an alternate title for the film, since the rights to the title [MONEY MONEY MONEY] vest with Sudhakar Bokade. "Our new title will have something to do with 'money' since that's the essence of the film. But I am told Subhash-ji has a title in mind," he states.
Meanwhile, post KYAA KOOL HAI HUM, the director has been flooded with offers by reputed production houses. Besides Ghai's project, Sangeet has been signed by Firoz A. Nadiadwala for a 3-hero project [Vivek, Zayed, Ritesh]. Besides, the makers of MR. YA MISS have also confirmed Sangeet for their forthcoming venture.
Like they say in the industry, jab upparwala deta hain, chhappar phaad ke deta hain.
