I think he will be become a good actor with time and hope he did a good job in WUS. Yes, doosra half aa gaya to hum paagal ho jayenge. He was good at filmfare - I loved him and Imran. Koko and Rahul were awesome together though I don't like Rahul for some strange reason.

Well, many people thought he seemed pretentious. But I thought he was pretty honest there so I enjoyed Karan squirming a bit. Also, the cricket commentary he did at the end was awesome. Personally, I think he is very limited as an actor. Aparna Sen has done a good job of casting him as a character very similar to himself in movies so it works when he plays a liberal and urbane sort of character like in Mr. and Mrs. Iyer and 15 Park Avenue.

Yeah Chak De is the only exception for YRF, but their promotion of the film (or the lack of it) made it seem like they weren't really expecting anything from it.

Dharma still isn't as big as UTV, but if they do grow further it would be nice to see an independent wing in the production house like UTV Spotboy.

Nimmi, I totally agree with you about Rahul Bose being limited. And Aparna Sen knows how to cast him. I actually love watching all of Koko's interviews. She did one with Masand that was really good as well, where she talked about working with big banners v. independent films.

^That would be awesome though I don't exactly have sky high expectations from Dharma. Though seeing smaller and more personal films being made these days does warm my indie film loving heart for sure. UTV is the best production house according to me right now because of the chances they do take in terms of the films they choose to produce. UTV Spotboy, that division, being established is a step in the right direction that I do hope more would follow like you have said.
But you are right, that was a sleeper hit. Taran Adarsh trashed it even though it was a SRK movie based on trade prospects alone or so it seems. Though I am glad it was a hit because it deserved to be one and because Shimit Amin is a good director.
Oh, I remember that interview. It was really good. I think it was called, To Catch A Star. And she was really frank and forthright about things in it.

Me too. But I doubt it. On a totally superficial level, I think he is quite attractive. He really seems like an interesting person based on his interviews though.
