Rekha insecure?

Rekha insecure? Reports have it that veteran actress Rekha is insecure about Mallika Sherawat. Story goes that at a recent award function, Rekha was asked to present the award along with Mallika Sherawat. It was also going to help the publicity of about to be released Bach Ke Rehna Re, the film that has Rekha and Sherawat in the lead. But Rekha refused. She did not want to share the same space with Sherawat. There were also stories about how Rekha was insecure while shooting Bach Ke Rehna Re because the director Govind Menon was showering more attention on his favorite Mallika. After all, Sherawat was the one who had given Govind his first hit Khwaaish. But one wonders why should Rekha be insecure about Mallika considering that when it comes to being called a Diva, nobody can beat madame Re.

Yup, but Mallika has age on her side.. and we can understand why directors would pamper and favor her more. They won't get much out of Rekha, but Mallika has a whole career ahead of her... if she isnt booted out after 2-3 megaflops that is!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i see what you mean, queenbee. I just think that if this had happened when Rekha was young and just starting out her career, then she should have been insecure. But she has proved her talent and worth in this industry and if a director is showering affection on a younger actress, then she shouldn't be affected by it at all b/c i'm sure that when she was young, she received the exact same treatment. I think she has nothing to lose b/c she's been at the top of her game and now she should let other actresses get attention too. I'm not saying she's too old to act or that she should stop--by no means! But i am saying that she should realize that she's at a different stage in her acting career and that she and the younger actresses are in totally different categories to begin with so why the competition???? 😕
