Anyways, there will always be next year and other events. I don't see L'Oreal admitting to the real reasons on why they changed their mind.

i think this is the real reason... "We do not want to take part in or encourage any controversy involving our spokespeople. There were adverse reports in certain sections of media after some comments by Sonam Kapoor, which were presented out of context".

and it makes sense too... in any case.. she'll have more chances later...

But why is sonam the only one always being mis-quoted most articles? whenever sonam states a statement, you guys say the articles twisted her words. But if it's another person, everyone will believe the articles

Seriously if Sonam feels so wronged by Loreal - cant she just walk away from them ? I think too much is made of this issue. The people in question have moved on. The media need to let go and move on to some other "scandal".

Maybe because the media loves mis-quoting her and creating controversy? It's a well known fact, that the Indian media love comparing actresses and creating a war or words between them. And ever since the start of Sonam's career, she has always been pitted against others...especially when she only says nice things about them.

On this occasion, we have all seen the video (it was posted here last week), and we all know that Sonam only praised Aish, so why should we believe some made up article?

guys it happened to sonam, why blaming on her?😆 why are so many members worried? She knows what she quoted and the outcome. She has learnt her lesson. Never praise a actress over the top, just praise your brand and your own work.

the clauses in their contracts state that the COmpany can dissolve the contract at anytime but the other party CANNOT, if they do, they get sued...same ol' crap...

considering Ash's past record with Actresses TAKING OVER from her, i can believe that perhaps she did call loreal and say, i dont want her walking the carpet......its VERY possible...she doesnt take it lightly when actresses take over roles that were offered to her or if she was even considereed for the role....remember how she came out with statements with the whole barbie issue and also when sonam was signed onto the brand, she quickly came out and said, a new person has been signed on because i refuse to endorse skin whitening creams, and we all know how much truth there is to that.....and she was mifed with PRIYANKA for doing BLUFFMASTER and BOY WAS SHE VOCAL ABOUT IT!..she sounded pretty snotty in that interview....she doesnt come across as a very secure person

You know Enycedoll.....now that I think about it....Aishwarya asking Loreal to un-invite Sonam is not completely unbelievable. Nandita Das was supposed to play Binodini's role in choker bali....but when Aishwarya expressed the slightest bit of interest in the role, Ritupo*no Ghosh promptly gave that role to Aishwarya. Like I said before, there is no ethics in the Indian film industry especially when it comes to actresses! Its great that Nandita does not talk ill of anyone, is pretty dignified about everything and is still willing to work with that man of NO word, Ghosh!

As far as Sonam not walking the red carpet, I don't really feel that bad for her because she should not have gotten so excited to begin with. Although I definitely missed seeing her because I'm sure she'd have been awesomely dressed for a first timer.

why would Sonam have to back out again..? it's not that big a deal.. i'm sure things are cool between her and L'Oreal... as they had said, that her words were "taken OUT OF CONTEXT"... not that she meant it.. but the stories printed pointed to something all together.. it's all PR, at the end of the day..!

Ash only 'expressed' interest, so it was upto Ghosh.. not her fault... all the leading ladies have done these things at one point or another in their career... so i am not surprised at all by these things... with the barbie issue, do you forget how much mud was slinged her way.. so what if she did clarify... i think that was only the right thing to do... i don't think that was the reason she mentioned about sonam being signed... and she has NOT endorsed skin whitening products, which is a fact (soap does not lighten skin)... yaar, at least you should give logical examples no..? 😕 she doesn't come across as a secure person... maybe, but i have not detected it...

so how do you explain all the quotes of 'sources' close to the two celebs... pr agents anyone..!

also, ash had back to back appearances so when did she get the time to run in-and-out of the office...truth is that there were negative articles and truth is also that ash is the international face of L'Oreal... truth is also that sonam is brand embassador in india and as for cannes, i am sure there will be other occasions for her to visit... while this may be an embarassing situation but why would someone back out of the contract because of this...

i have never seen unprofessionalism on behalf of L'Oreal earlier, so why they are being blamed is illogical... and ash has been with them for such a long time... just because sonam is signed now does not mean that they should make it seem like she is replacing her... that would have been unprofessional..

things do backfire... it was stupid on whoever's part to give all this negativity to the whole aspect...!!
