Sonam's PR backfires yet again..???

The biggest joke is that there was no scheduled Red carpet walk for Loreal this year.😆😆.Freida visited Cannes on Sunday,Gabrielle-yesterday and Ash is back in India..

Ash must be having a good laugh at the sheer stupidity of the whole thing.Also the Indian media didn't have time to compare her Freida the newest international spokes woman of Loreal and arguably the most famous Indian face right now..

Sonam's..'Ash didn't let me go to Cannes ' will hurt her more than benefit her!

Publicity doesn't buy anyone popularity.Only films can change that..Age is just a number for you, nothing else...Let your work do the talking for you!

This google search data should be an eye opener for her..Only hardwork can restart her career and popularity which is at a virtual stand still.

Top stars Kareena,Aishwarya pitted against the young new young girls ..Asin,Anushka,Sonam..

Sonam must be feeling so bad right now..I feel sorry for her.Poor girl how embarassing after she said she had even selected her dresses.

L'oreal needs to give a stronger reason as now Sonam is being seen as somebody who is immature and it is Not Fair.

There is no Fault of Sonam's and I don't see why she should face the brunt of it all.

PS-Anyway,I really don't understand the huge fuss about L'oreal ambassadors in Cannes.It is just a walk down the red carpet.

It is not like they are promoting a film which is what the main aim in Cannes is.After all it is film festival.

So Sonam did not miss on something very big.Hopefully,some day she will be in Cannes for her film which is much more rewarding for an actor.

It is not about Sonam walking to the cannes, but Keeping their words. If someone didn't liked sonam comments, it doesn't mean you just take off them from the red carpet. Hopefully Sonam will be performing at iffa(let's hope someone won't have a problem with her performing at iifa😆). She did 2 films, Delhi 6 she got more appreciated than Abhishek. SO it does tell she did a wonderful job in the movie. I never did liked cannes, but was excited to see Sonam at cannes, to see her different looks as she experiment each time.

woww... things have snowballed, haven't they...

well, L'Oreal may have announced that (can someone please post the video of it, if they have) but Sonam's name was never in the list from the start... so i don't think she was going to go on behalf of L'Oreal in the first place... but she was going to Cannes, i think that much we know because she even had decided on the dresses, etc..

and Sonam did praise Ash (as we all saw on the video, not just articles)... but that does not change the fact that some of the things printed clearly pointed/hinted towards Sonam replacing Ash, Ash now endorsing anti wrinkle creams, etc only since she is 'old'... why blame the media when some of the fans themselves were all for it and saying she is right, ash is old etc (although, that is not what Sonam had 'said' in her 'quotes')....

true, ash is now 35 so what.. she is supposed to take retirement now that younger generation is here.. so far, ash has a great lineup of movies and i am sure she is not planning to work or be around FOREVER... but if she wants to do things her way, what is so wrong about it..? she is not going around asking producers/directors to still cast her in the main lead roles.. it is the producers/directors who are still willing to sign her on...

sonam is going to be around, i don't doubt it even for a second.. but is she the one who is going to be so-called 'taking over' from ash... let's be real here, shall we... i can already see ash going the kajol way, i.e. retiring on her own terms and doing movies if she plans to later on her own terms... so i doubt she is going to worry about 'competition' at this age and time... she is doing a lot better than most of the leading ladies and has proved time and again her own position...

truth is, ash is the international face of L'Oreal.. whatever people are going to say is not going to change the fact.. Sonam has been signed on for representing the brand in india ONLY... so why is such a huge issue if she was not there for the opening.. 😕

and as some people suggest, Cannes is afterall not such a big deal, so why make it such an issue.. and if it isn't, i doubt Sonam need to feel she's missing on anything.. 😛

i don't think it's L'Oreal's fault for handling it poorly.. but someone's PR should certainly not have worked overtime to make it seem that ash was being replaced... and as for L'Oreal, Sonam's name was never on the list to begin with... what does that suggest..? although, she could have visited later with her father as had earlier planned... (i hope she does, but with this news, i'm not sure now)..

but well, it's too bad.. wish things were handled better so that all the three ladies could have visited.. well, at least Frieda got to visit.. i want to see pictures though..!

Obv. someone has not been reading the press statements that L'Oreal released saying yes they invited Sonam to talk for L'Oreal at Cannes but changed the plans later on. Eva Longeria is the face of L'Oreal only in the U.S while Gong Li is the face of L'Oreal only in China yet they still walk. L'Oreal confirmed Sonam is part of the Dream Team and they also confirmed she was going. And please, do you really think Sonam's PR is stupid enough to take a fight with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who is like a legend while Sonam is almost a nobody?

Sanam,pls check on the articles.L'oreal did issue a press release stating that India is going to be represented by Ash n Sonam in Cannes.(something on those lines)

And the other statement they made recently which they distributed to all media outlets also says that Sonam was going to be there but now they have adviced her not to go and she will future opportunities.

And the meida could not have twisted them coz I saw the quote on various channels on tv too.They said that L'oreal had mailed all the tv channels with the press release.

So if this is not Shoddy treatment by the Brand than what is???

Like I said even before this is not a big deal at all but still what L'oreal did wasn't fair.
