Beauty is subjective. Freida Pinto is charismatic and no doubts about that. She didn't get the hype just because of SDM. If it was so then Parminder Nagra would have been equally hyped after Bend it like Beckam. Nagra had lengthy role and acted well too. It is not always about the length. Some people can just make an impression even in just 15 mins.

Freida has style. She has class and she knows how to carry herself. Every American friend I know is lattu over the girl. Indians can't see beyond gori chamdi. So we accept only the lists which features White females. Why is it difficult for us to accept Freida as one of the beautiful when most people voted for her?

Is SRK better actor than Naseeruddin Shah? No. Still isn't SRK the star? We scrutinize only women and that too it has become almost unacceptable for us to see women from outside film world making it big.

Kudos to women like Aishwarya, Deepika and Freida who are going strong in this nepotism filled world.

I think the way she interacted with everyone made her famous
plus she is pretty....not as much as Ash or Kat but this girl is beautiful...

She is deffinately overrated actress and gets overrated publicity as well from the media and some of her newly created fans !! No offence but she is not even that pretty to get so much overrated appreciation !!

lol..to those who think we find freida overrated cuz she's not gori...thats just silly...if we felt that way why wudnt we call bips overrated?

wat i meant by overrated was despite the movie focusing on jamal(dev) it was frieda who basked in all the fame. even the guy who portrays jamal's brother's character was never that popular.

as someone pointed earlier, she is not famous because of the movie but more so because of her interviews and red carpet appearances..

so what if she is getting so much fame.. and it just makes me laugh that some people are giving this excuse that she's not even pretty.. so who are the idiots who voted for her because obviously she didn't vote herself..

nobody has been going gaga over her acting or role in SDM. dev patel was the one who got individual acting nominations at a few awards (not the oscars though). i don't understand how you can say she is overrated based on this poll when she isn't even being rated as an actress here?

like people already pointed out she is famous for her red carpet appearances and the way she has carried herself in interviews. this poll too was about her looks not her acting talent. and if that many people voted for her, then they obviously think she is beautiful, and i happen to agree. if you don't thats your opinion - just one person's opinion.

Personally I dont think Freida's Sexy...because to me, she kinda looks like a little girl...

It has little to do with her skin colour or complexion because frankly, I'm pretty dusky myself and I have no qualms about it...nor do I think it's a factor when deeming someone pretty or beauitful...the features are what matter.

Freida is pretty (gorgeous mouth and eyes)...just not Sexy.

It's too early to judge her acting talent yet...she was barely in SD...but I like her style or stylist😛...because she looks good in pretty much everything.
