The fact that Kareena or Aishwarya or Mr. Bachchan or SRK or even young stars like Deepika or Sonam are the most discussed and criticized here just shows that they matter. People give importance to only those who actually matters. If everyone is sugary-syrapy towards a particular actor, male or female, then in reality they are nobody's. You know the ones who don't make a difference, they get all the praise. That si how life is. Even in politics unless you make a vitriolic statement, you don't matter. (Varun Gandhi anyone)

Desigirl90, most actors here get criticized. Some more and some less. I don't think you should take it to heart or defend them 24/7 even when your favorites are at fault.

When your favorite passes a rude comment or an obnoxious taunt towards another actor then it is better to just not argue for the sake. It irritates people more.

I am neutral towards Saif-Kareena. Not a fan of Saif and definitely not of Shahid but I like Kareena as an actor. As a person she irritates me a lot like many star kids who constantly claim to have inherited acting in genes or born with it and take potshots at other actors for their own failure. Kareena sure has changed though and I like the Kareena who is with Saif than the Kareena who was with Shahid.

I haven't read any of the posts so if I am repeating what someone else wrote, let me apologize.

Now onto the topic, I think to some extent there is double standards but we also have to look at other factors:

1) The personality of the two actresses. Priyanka is often the quiet, more diplomatic girl who keeps her private life shut and away from the public eye while Kareena was known to be the type of girl who speaks what she thinks and is often harsher and more blunt. So, when Priyanka breaks up with Harman, people assume that the relationship just did not work out and they mutually decided to pull away. When Kareena breaks up, all the fingers point toward Kareena because people are left asking "How can a girl who dated this guy for over three years just break up with him and within two months get together with another guy?"

2) The personalities of the two actors: Saif has a history with quiet a few women in his past and a bitter divorce and a broken relationship does not help his appearance. Shahid Kapoor has never been in a relaitonship prior to this (at least that we know of). So, when Shahid breaks up with Kareena it is a big thing and when Saif gets with Kareena, it is just another fling. (at least that is what people thought initially)

3) Everyone loved Shahid Kareena initially, when they broke up people took sides, some sided with Shahid and said that she was the mean one who broke the relationship because she met Saif and others sided with Kareena saying that she was not meant to be with Shahid.

4) Harman and Priyanka never really worked with people because not many people like Harman but others adore Priyanka so for people it really did not make much of a difference that they broke up and they didn't have to pick sides. And also because they were together MAX for 6 or so months while Shahid and Kareena shared a strong three years.

I personally, don't care who ends up with who as long as all of them are happy in their respective cases. I do like Shahid and Priyanka together as much as I like Saif and Kareena together but I don't feel that either of those relationships are my personal favs.
