May I say something? Please dont attack me.
I would say that we dont know what happeend with PC and Harman, but then I want to say something.
Its the EXACT same scenario between shahid, kareena, saif.
Shahid Kareena break up, due to whatever reasons after a long relationship. And she falls into a relationship with saif within two months or so of her breakup.

But because it was Shahid who was portrayed as the party who was broken up with, people went on a rampage against saif and kareena.

I feel the same scenario is repeated with shahid, Priyanka and Harman. ONly this time Harman's in shahid's place. But no one feels sympathy for him the way they felt sympathy for shahid. And now isnt shahid in saif's place? Did Shahid and PC not hook up during Kaminey like saif and kareena hooked up during Tashan? Did PC and harman not break up suddenly during that phase just liek shahid and kareena broke up suddenly?

Will someone point out the obvious differences for me please? Apart from the fact htat harman isnt as popular as shahid so people arent concerned or bothered with his "heart ache"?

Just my view. Otherwise, I will say that live and let live. Just had to point out this double standard.

Yes I blame saif and kareena for being very foolish. They werent the least bit concerned about perception and proceeded to just live their lives as if no one would point fingers at them. They are not as smart as Shahid and PC, who are treading carefully to make sure that people dont jump to wrong conclusions. I wish saif and kareena had used their heads rather than their hearts.

well...do u really want people to bash shahid -pc the way saifeena were bashed..??dats quite selfish u know....

i stll dont know whether hurman-pc were serious abt each other or not..if they were thrn i absolutely sympathise with him....but not any thing else..because dats life,proly sum thing didnt work out so they broke up,atleast hurman doesnt seem to be too depressed ,so flush this thought out...

saifeena were silly to roam around 2gether,just after she officially broke up..its her fault there,she invited the trouble..

where as shahid-pc r bein extemely intelligent..so naturally they wont be bashed....

Ofcourse not, in fact, I want ppl to recognize that once they put their bias of saif's past aside, and their bias TOWARDS Shahid aside, that saif and kareena also went through the SAME thing. But were treated very differently.

Its the same story, only differnet players, and apparently apart from some slight differences in behavior, their reactions are completely different.

Hence the title, "double standards". Like I said, we dont know what happened between harman and PC. People break up all hte time. Relationships are complex. Yet people were more than ready to pass judgment, ARE more than ready to pass judgement on saif and kareena, than towards Shahid and PC.

I aknowledged already that PC and Harman were in a proper relationship. And yes, I also aknowledged that saif and kareena behaved foolishly, but they were not bashed for those reasons. They were bashed for perception. I doubt people would have minded their coupling and happiness had they not had in the back of hteir minds, "dumped shahid".

Do you get what I"m saying? This is merely a comparison, and I opened it after haranagel pointed it out. I expanded upon that thought.

I'm gonna list the reasons why Saif is considered a villian, and why Shahid isnt considered the same:

1. Hurman isnt as popular as Shahid

2. Shahid-PC havent yet confessed to the media

3. Shahid-PC havent yet indulged in PDA

4. Saif is a divorcee and had a relationship with Rosa, this makes people think he abandoned his wife and kids when he got some success, and went for Rosa. Then his relationship with Rosa didnt last long and he went for Kareena (see the trend, see why people call him names?)

5. Hurman is kinda involved with Urvashi Sharma

6. Shahid-PC rumors started after the Hurman admitted the break up. This means that people approve of Shahid-PC relationship since the ex is admitting the breakup.

7. Shahid-Kareena never spoke about their breakup, and then BOOM Kareena is seen with Saif

8. When Shahid-Kareena broke up, Shahid was shooting in Canada, and thus couldnt speak about his breakup and this made people think that he's in depression (he does admit of going through a rough time, personally, in Canada.)

9. Saif is considered one of the older actors, and seeing him with Kareena made people think bad. If Shahid was 38 and had gone for PC who was 27 or 28, then people might think bad about him too.

10. Everyone loves Shahid-Priyanka. People want to see their favorites with other hot and successful bollywood actors and thats why Priyanka-Hurman were considered a mismatch.

ANd that's my point. Look at all those biases. Saif's past, the way shahid adn kareena's break up was kept under wraps. It was all just bad luck from the start.

Kareena and Shahid had no choice. they couldnt aknowledge hteir break up coz Imtiaz really wanted people ot watch JWM with the concept of real life lovers in mind. Imtiaz later confessed that he was afraidwhen news of shahid and kareena's break up spread since he didnt want that.

Kareena was in a situation where she ha already broken up with shahid, but had to pretend as if everythign was ok. In the meantime, she got closer to saif who was there to support her and help her out through a hard time (hence her statements that saif held my hand when anyone elsewoudl ahve just wlaked away, referring to negative media attention). And she's just the kinda person that if she's in a relationship, if she likes someone, she'll go all out. She never hid her relatoinship with shahid, and unfortunately, couldnt hide her relatoinship with saif. No one knew about her and shahid's breka up coz there is really no way of finding that out unless the coupel confesses but there are certainly ways of finding out when there is a new hook up.

Its the same story, just in difference circumstances. People shoudl not have been that rash. The media, first and foremost, shoudl not have made assumptions. Midday comes up with the first story of saif being the reason of the breakup, then less than amonth later, MIDDAY comes out with the story that it was because of Vidya.

I dont aggree with this point... i will post a link from bollywoodhungama video where harman has told tht he never told any mag that he has broken with priyanka...

But it all about biases, Desu. We cant help it. Who are these people who are calling Saif buddha? Teenage girls, who simply love Shahid. They dont love Saif the same way because he is not a teenage sensation anymore. Get what I'm saying?

It's all biases and we cannot get rid of them. The truth is that Kareena-Saif will be considered villians and Prishah will be considered love birds, these are all biases we cant help the fact that they exist.

We cannot say that "oh Kareena was hurting more from the breakup or Hurman was hurting more." I think all four of them, Shahid, Priyanka, Kareena and Hurman had to go through the equal amount of sadness.

Also, you said that Shahid-PC arent coming out cuz they dont want to be viewed in a bad light, but thats not right. The fact is that PC has always been this way, she never came out with her 2-3 year relationship with Hurman, this doesnt mean that she doesnt have a heart, right?
