Hrithik Roshan had a blast celebrating his 35th birthday. But his neighbours at Palazzo Apartments in Juhu Scheme did not. Fed up of the rising decibel levels coming from Hrithik's house, the residents of the area complained about the party to the Juhu Police.

Four cops then arrived at the scene at around 2 am and demanded that the Roshans tone down the music. A police officer, requesting anonymity, told Mumbai Mirror, "We got a call from one of Hrithik's neighbours saying that the music coming from the party was too loud for comfort and that it was disturbing them."

The noise did stop after the cops left, but for only about half an hour. After that the music started again, and went on till after 4 am. Of late, the Roshans have had quite a few reasons to celebrate.

Last December Hrithik celebrated his wedding anniversary and in October it was wife Suzanne's birthday. But this seemed to be the first time that he got carried away with the celebrations. His parties usually end at 2 am, are not boisterous, and the music is rarely loud.

When we asked Rakesh Roshan about the incident, he maintained that he was unaware about what had taken place. He said, "I was not in the party and hence I have no clue about this."

This time around though Hrithik did have several reasons to celebrate.

He scorched the screen as the Mughal emperor Akbar in Jodhaa Akbar and welcomed a baby boy Hridaan to his family. He also has two films, Kites and Luck By Chance lined up for the release soon and has clinched a Sanjay Leela Bhansali project opposite Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan.

We wonder though, if that gives him a licence to disturb the neighbourhood from late evening to the wee hours of the morning.

FATHER'S DAY

So what if there was a little trouble from neighbours grumbling about loud music, Hrithik Roshan did have a great bash.

What made it more special was the hand-made birthday card he received from his three-year-old son, Hrehaan. Smiles the proud papa, "The card is the sweetest and my most precious thing.

Unfortunately, Hrehaan couldn't be with us at the party as it was way past his bedtime." Telling us about the gift he received from his father, Rakesh Roshan, Hrithik says, "Dad postponed the shoot we were to have the following day from morning to afternoon. That was his gift."

Happy being the birthday boy, Hrithik credits his wife Suzanne for arranging such a great party. "All my friends came to the party and it was the best ever.

It was Farah's (Khan) birthday a day before mine, so we were these two happy people in a dancing mood." He says he had a great time dancing with Barbara Mori too.
