It should not happen to anyone anywhere anytime.
Worst is that the culprit got this overnight fandom after that so called entertainment n is still basking in that glory. Is this for real?
Thankyou, Deepalee. Somewhere, this entire phenomenon has gone under my skin so deep that I don't feel it anymore. It's equivalent to being abused oneself and it's gone into a blackbox somewhere. God help me. So, it makes it easier to write about it now- feel weirdly detached. Strange are the ways second hand trauma works on the mind. For the same reason, I cannot subject myself to the show any more and unless I read positive reviews here, I will not see another episode.
As much as the harassment is beyond ridiculous, that this is being glossed as entertainment and that we actually have a public enjoying it as humorous, is scary. If this were to happen in their families- to their children, nieces, nephews and cousins, in schools, colleges and workplaces in India, would they still have mirth on their faces, applauses at their fingertips and praises at the tip of their tongues?
And yes, the culprit not just survives, but basks in the glory of the induced violence. Brilliant!
If the host claims to "Being Human", I can see no humanity anywhere here. I will have to repeat your question then, "Is this for real" ?
