I feel very upset because I was just about to open a thread saying how Sangram Singh's single Commonwealth gold is worth a lot more than all of the film - tv actors / actresses combined zillion show biz awards... but just came across a thread saying Sangram is a fake and never won gold in the Commonwealth games... can somebody kindly say for sure, with proof, what is true and what is false ? If they have a fake guy with fake accomplishments about winning things for India, I will quit watching Bigg Boss. And to think Sangram was my favourite. Somebody please clarify.

Why cant they have a real sportsman like Sushil Kumar who actually won in Olympics or any of the top Indian hockey players ?

The fact is he did not get a gold in THE Commonwealth games, but a Gold for India in the Commonwealth Wrestling Championship in the 96kg Greco-Roman category (held in South Africa). He has also got World's Best Professional Wrestler Award in 2011 and has won many Medals for India in Amateur Wrestling also.

Also, FYI - His name would appear as Sanjit Kumar in these championships. I am not sure why he went for a name change in the entertainment industry. 😕

If you look at his journey, it's certainly inspirational and commendable, considering the odds he faced (premature baby\weaknesses, arthritis --> wrestler)👏

However, I certainly don't like the way he is conducting himself in the BB House.
