But please, make up your mind whether you want to continue arguing or not. Once you have decided that you have had enough, why keep reminding me that our argument was incomplete.? When did I claim that I answered all your points? Its not that I'm running away and claiming victory. You lost patience and I too was exhausted, and so decided to call a truce.

If mansi wants to continue the discussion, let her list the points where she thinks I was generalizing and I will answer her. Okay?

LOL, I already told you, I can't continue arguing with you. So eff that and join the fun 😆

@Bold: Huh, what now ?

As for Mansi, that's between you two. I am only here as the innocent bystander enjoying the view of someone's defeat 😆

No I was never desperate for a win or something.
I always was doing a fair arguement. But you just took the conversations to different tangents.
I never lost patience. If you were exhausted, so fine. Once you said you were offended on a word, I said I take it back. I gave you respect, but you didn't give back.

If you want to continue the conversation, you please gain some energy and answer back on the posts which I had made n you left unanswered by going off to discussions about how women encourage abusive men.

Why should I now again start it. I have already said what all I had to say about the issue. The issue is not about you. Whether you make pre conceived notions or not. I was just forced to point it out to you in way of conversation. Because you were actually doing it. The issue was about Armaan and how he is a sexist, MCP. I am here to discuss that and I am not going to start another tangential topic about you. You are not the point of my debate.

But you never answered over the Arman issue and just got into petty squabbles and humour n what not. If you had the grace and just said that you missed some points that I made n you might think about it. It would have ended at that. But you chose to further rib me or Diva. N then act arrogant n high handed.

If you want to argue sensibly and without bias, I am still open to it. That's why I said its your choice, when you asked me.

You ACTUALLY did all this. I am just calling a spade a spade. I am not being uncivil. You are behaving like this. I have removed all the smilies though, since you were offended.

Its too funny. I am done bothering with him too. He didn't really understand a word I said. He just didn't bother.

1. He is unable to prove even 1 thing from whatever opinion he has. I negated everything. Still he has the ability to say all this. He "stands" by his opinion.

2. When no logic or objectivity could could defend his view, he took to weird sexist remarks n bawdy humour. Probably in an attempt to ruffle me or get me agitated, so that the discussion just ends. I didn't lost my cool, but he lost it

3. Then he also tried to kinda bully me by asking should he devote the next 10 pages answering my arguements. He was expecting me to be scared.

4. Then he puts the defense on his not-good-enough english skills. If you defend a sexist person, you will end up either looking sexist yourself or his blind fan. But no amount of logic can be understood!!

5. Then like a mahan guru or something, he decides "not to debate" with us.

6. Then he the ability to act like we are not receptive. Arre yaar I was receptive that's why I listened for so long n answered so patiently.

OMG, What all a person who is "objective", "unbiased" n "open to others' views" does to win an arguement that he has lost long back. Its hilarious

In between I even said a few places, he was partially right in few things. It was a very honest n sincere conversation from my side. But I didn't get the same back. I guess it was my mistake to talk logically n in a civil way.

I have even removed the pre conceived notion thing. Because I do not like to hurt anybody intentionally.

Energy is not a problem..its the wastage of time, that I'm concerned about.. I don't wish to continue the conversation as I too have already said what I wanted to say. But I will answer the points you have raised here..and if you raise any other points, I will answer those points too..sensibly and without bias😊

Yes, some of the things that Armaan has said may be sexist. Does that make him MCP? Maybe. maybe not. Does that make him a bad person? Perhaps. Perhaps not. We don't know enough about him to make a fair judgement. I was only put off by all the hatred towards him and advised people to not get carried away. Beyond that, I've no special interest in Armaan or any other house member. If I could be a fly on the wall of his home, and observe him for few days and find that he is a terrible person who is rude to everyone, routinely abuses his wife, maid, kids etc, has no redeeming virtues at all, I'll change my opinion about him.

The tangential topic that your are referring to (if I'm not mistaken, its about alpha males) was only to show that an abusive behavior is not a one-way street. For every abuser, there's a person who lets herself be abused. I wasn't generalizing about all women, but only those women who get attracted to charismatic guys, and tolerate abusive behavior for many years instead of walking out immediately. There have been numerous cases of such relationships, not just in India but in west too..and amongst celebrities too. So I hope you won't dispute this.

I wasn't being arrogant or high-handed. Most of the time, I was at the receiving end of your (and Diva's) jibes, sly remarks, derisive comments, laughter and putdowns. I'm not a doormat who will allow people to walk over me and was only giving back what I was getting from both of you. But I'm not complaining..it happens when discussions get heated.😆.

@bold I wasn't trying to be humorous with you, only with Diva as she wasn't serious all the time . You choose to take my casual banter with her seriously and started arguing over my remarks😆

Alright! You are sporty :)

But this is a forum with individual people. No sort of advice can be given like this. I am myself irritated with a few of the things like baseless fangiri or useless bashing or just plain stupidity.

But can't change people's reactions here.

So let's meet on some other thread next time, hopefully on the same side! 😊

LOL, is that how you felt. You came across as someone who likes humor, so I was simply pulling your leg and enjoying the banter. You called us furious women, even that I took it all in fun and kept going. But looks like someone might have felt offended. In that case, I shall stop now, no more friendly banter or mocking. OK, fine...I can't promise, but I'll try 😆

Just waiting to see how this debate ends

WTH, you are calling it off and here I was waiting to see how the debate ends 😡 And what about my entertainment, not fair Mansi 😛

@Bold: This I agree with. Moral police and holier-than-thou creatures are annoying (of course not you BossB, I like you 😆 )
